5.0 out of 5 stars Works great!
I couldn’t get a sock on my foot after surgery to repair a shattered femur, and the occupational therapist had one of these to show me how to put a sock on while I recover at home. The first one she had had a “vinyl” soft texture inside, and I run really hot, so the bottom of my foot suction cupped to that device, and I couldn’t pull it off my foot. Then she had one that was a hard smooth plastic shell, and it worked PERFECTLY. So I bought this one when I got home from the hospital, and it works great!!The only negative I can see is the device is actually quite large, so women with small feet/sock might stretch out their sock getting it on, but I’m a guy and the big sock I’m wear went over it fine. It’s SUPER easy to use, and amazing that it actually pulls the sock past the heel and up over the ankle!! I don’t need to bend over to to finish the job. It does all the work for me!Love it! Get one if you coming out of surgery and can’t bend over to pull on your socks. Great design and solution!
5.0 out of 5 stars Works Very Well
Last June I suffered a minor hip injury and had to baby myself. Not too huge of a deal as it was summer and I just wore sandals, and being in the PNW, it was October before I had to worry about shoes and socks. I didn't realize just how much I had babied by hips until I went to put on socks and couldn't lift my foot up to my knee to put on my socks on. Hubby has been great helping me the last few weeks, but now that it's getting dark earlier, I'm heading into the office two hours earlier and that's earlier than he gets up so I needed something to help until I start some physical therapy. This so very simple device is a wonder! My preference is for footies and so I slid one sock on, put it down, slid my foot in and pulled on the ropes and easy-peasy lemon-squeezy my sock was on perfectly!I can't recommend this enough!
5.0 out of 5 stars This works!
I broke my kneecap and I have to wear a brace which does not allow me to bend my leg. I am so happy that I purchased this sock aid. I was having trouble trying to put on my socks. It is easy to use, and it works.
4.0 out of 5 stars RMS Deluxe Sock Aid
I really liked this sock aid. My husband had spine surgery and is not supposed to bend. This sock aid helps him get his socks on without bending. It works perfectly and is a great product!
5.0 out of 5 stars Works well — but instructions were poor
The instructions were too s8mole, didn’t really tell you how to use them. So it took a half dozen tries, in various orientations, before I figured it out. After you buy this (cuz it’s fine) come back and read my suggestions.1) hold the white half-sleeve upright, say between your knees, letting the cords drop down to the floor.2) notice that the curved side has a black disk — that will be helpful later3) put the sock over the white half sleeve, with the HEEL and BOTTOM of the sock going over the curved part and the black disk.4) pull the sock onto the sleeve so that the toe of the sock is stretched out at the end of the sleeve. The “top” of the sock should be up near the knotted cords, or perhaps just over the knotted cords.5) hold the two cords innyour hand, drop the sock+sleeve on the floor6) drop it such that the ROUNDED part if the sleeve is down on the floor!7) insert toe as far as it can go8) pull the sleeve back, let it go around the corner when it hits your heel. The black round disk should help pull the sock up.That should do it. The key, is knowing whether the rounded part goes up or down …Also note, this device will not help you remove your socks! To do that, I barely get by using a standard back scratcher — oriented as if I’m trying to scratch my hell, push down the sock.Good luck.
5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best aids I have found.
I had total hip replacement surgery and purchased this to help get socks on after surgery. You must wear closed heel shoes after surgery. But the best found use of this device was aiding me in putting compression stockings back on my legs. Big rule with hip surgery, you must not lean past 90 degrees at the hip joint. These stockings are so tight and difficult to get back on. It was amazing to get them to slide back on over my foot and up the lower leg high enough to be able to reach and pull them up above my knee without affecting the hip joint! So easy to use!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to Use
Works like a dream. So easy. I wear low cut socks most of the time, heavier regular socks and sometime slipper socks and this works on all of them.
5.0 out of 5 stars very easy to use
had my hip replaced and not allowed to bend down for socks. This tool is a dream. Works so easily. I recommend this if you have issues reaching your feet for socks
Easiest way to put on socks ever.
My husband could not bend enough to put his socks on. Now he can put his socks on quicker than I can doing it on my own. Excellent product.
Gives back a little independence
Does what it says on the can it gives me a little more independence
Wish I found this sooner
This has been a game changer for me, having Ostio arthritis in my left hip it was a struggle putting on my left sock. Now I have this it’s so simple, I wish I had searched for this sooner.
