5.0 out of 5 stars Works as well as the name brand
Like any other patch- you can't remove it and then expect it to stick the second time. But these stick very well the first time. These are well worth the savings compared to the well know brand.
5.0 out of 5 stars I quit smoking - for real
This product helped me quit smoking. I smoked about half a pack per day for over 8 years. I have tried quitting cold turkey with no luck. I tried to quit using e-cigarettes, and I know many people who have succeeded with this method, but I found myself vaping and then immediately craving a "real" cigarette. I was also very hesitant to replace one form of smoking with a new one. I decided to give nicotine patches a try, and these did not disappoint. I used one per day for 3 weeks. When I only had 7 patches left and was low on money, I started wearing them every-other day. I noticed the days I didn't wear them, I was having more cravings than days I did wear one, but fewer than I used to have. After I used all 28, I stopped wearing them altogether and still have not smoked a cigarette. It's been 72 days, which is more than 3x longer than I've gone without a cigarette in over 8 years. I'm very pleased and would recommend this product to anyone who is trying to quit smoking.Update: I haven't had a cigarette for 100 days :)Update 2: I am still smoke free! My first day using the patch was 10/11/2016. It’s now 7/26/18 and I haven’t smoked a single cigarette, haven’t vaped, and haven’t had too many cravings. Sometimes I still have to pause and remind myself that I’m a non-smoker when someone asks me for a cigarette or the doctor asks if I use tobacco, and sometimes I still can’t believe that I can honestly respond “NO!” to these questions. But quitting smoking was one of the best choices I’ve ever made, and I’m so thankful that I finally found a product to help me accomplish that.
4.0 out of 5 stars Working well
These are doing fine, no issues, no skin irritation. I would recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars Over 5 years of use with no issues.
The headline probably seems very strange - it's worth mentioning that I'm a nonsmoker and always have been, but I use these to treat my narcolepsy. Don't ask why it works, I have no idea, but nicotine has been a miracle drug for this debilitating disorder. This product has given me my life back. I alternate between 7mg and 14mg patches as needed, one patch per day. This brand of patch has always worked best for me as far as strength/longevity of adhesion and amount of irritation go. If I wear shorts the patch is definitely ready to come off by the end of the day, but only rarely does it ever fall off. I can wear them in the shower with no issues as well. For location, I use the outside of my calves as it's out of my way and it's a very flat surface - the more rounded the surface, the more likely the patch will fall off as the day goes on. I alternate which leg I use every day. After 5 years and 8 months of using these things daily, I do have permanently reddish skin in the area, but I have zero itching and zero irritation. The best thing about this brand - as well as buying from Bolo - is the PRICE. Holy cow, CVS will charge north of $80 for the exact same thing and the exact same number of doses. This has been the best nicotine patch I've used and I definitely recommend it.
5.0 out of 5 stars It works!------------------------------------
I tried patches years ago and no luck! I decided to try again and this time great results. It does curb my need for nicotine. Great prosuct!
3.0 out of 5 stars Not enough stick/Will not last the day
UPDATE: Now that warm weather is upon us, I want to reiterate that these do not stick. I don't overly perspire and I have tried priming the area with rubbing alcohol, but there just isn't enough stick. There is a small ring of adhesive area and it doesn't provide enough to stick and stay stuck. The pad, with the nicotine, is not sticky.Again, they do not last 24 hours. It's more like 6 hours if you're lucky. The rashes/itchy, bumpy skin, is pretty frequent. I've never had this issue with any other brand patch.***********These do have trouble sticking and don't seem to last the day. I also had issues with rashes when placed on some areas of my body per recommendations, but that wasn't a widespread problem. I have not had that problem in the past with other brands. As for the stickiness, as mentioned in other reviews, there is only a small ring of adhesive foil around the round patch. The actual working part of the patch is not sticky. The problem is two-fold. The covering for the patch is pretty inflexible foil type material. It doesn't work really well on anything but a flat surface. Find one of those on the body. The pad holding the effective portion is thicker, in the middle, isn't adhesive and only leaves a narrow area of adhesive to keep it on. I found that it is easily pulled off by a t-shirt, strap or whatever.Next, and I think this is because it doesn't stick well, the nicotine seems to run out half way through the day. Perhaps it's because the patch tends to loosen, I'm not sure. All in all, they're less expensive than other brands, but if you end up having to use more because they fall off, is it worth it?
