I switched to this product after the retinol product I'd used for quite a few years was discontinued. It seems to be just as good, so I'm happy! My skin is smooth, soft, and as line- and wrinkle-free as can be hoped for at my age. I apply it to my face and neck at night after I've washed my face, wait 5-10 minutes for most of it to be absorbed, then top it with my usual moisturizer. It doesn't irritate my skin and has a light, pleasant scent.

Ok, maybe I'm crazy here but I have super sensitive skin and I really worried this would break me out, as I tried an Olay retinol cream once and it really didn't work well, made my skin feel really greasy. I did have a couple of very small breakouts since I've been using this HOWEVER I have also been using a variety of different night moisturizers on top of this, so honestly I think it's that I'm either layering too many moisturizing items at night, or it could be the other things I'm using because I feel like I had noticed minor breakouts previously when using one or two of them. Basically, I need to be better about trying things individually.If you're wondering why I'm giving it 5 stars despite the minor breakouts and not being able to 100% say it isn't this cream (although I'm like 98% certain), it's because after I'd been using this for only a few days I was startled one morning looking into the mirror, trying to figure out what looked so different. My skin looked so clear and smooth, but I didn't think that was it. Then I realized, the very minor lines/wrinkles I'd noticed previously that were forming around my mouth (smile lines, as people call them) were completely gone. I had only been using this for a few days so I don't know if this stuff works that quickly or what's going on--all I know is, after I started using this regularly day and night, I suddenly realized those wrinkles were gone and I didn't remember them being gone before. I'm not saying this stuff is miracle cream that will remove ALL THE WRINKLES EVER on a person's face, because that probably isn't possible. But if you have the small starts of lines like I do, jeez louise it seemed like this cleared that right up. Funny thing is, I wasn't even using this cream for that reason, so that's why it totally surprised me.Also, after I purchased this, I got an email from the company giving me tips on how to use it and providing me contact information if I need it for any reason. I really, really appreciate companies that do that through Bolo, because it would be so easy to see us as faceless consumers on such a huge site. ALSO, when you get the actual cream, on the back on the directions it tells you how to use it but it also tells you that retinol increases sun sensitivity so you should use sunscreen daily. I am so thankful that they added that bit of info because I've had products now and then with retinol in it, and none of them have ever said a word about that. For me with my super sensitive and pale skin, that's really important information because I burn really quickly. I usually try to use sunscreen anyway but on weekends when I'm running out to walk my dog, I might have otherwise forgotten to throw on some sunscreen and might have run around with only the retinol cream on my face.Overall, I'm really impressed with the company, their thoughtfulness in both the directions and reaching out to the customers, and unless I'm going crazy, this stuff took away smile lines I didn't even think about having disappear. I'm definitely going to keep using it and see if the breakouts stop after I change up my other items or maybe don't go so overboard at night with multiple creams and with leftover stuff in my hair like sea spray or whatnot. (My skin is so sensitive that just using hairspray and having that fall on my face breaks me out, and if I get it on my pillow case at night and that gets on my face it breaks me out, etc, so that's why I'm pretty sure this cream is not at all involved in the minor breakouts recently because I'd been doing a lot of other things lately that I know do break me out). If I end up having some massive reaction or determine somehow this cream really is terrible for my skin I'll update this, but otherwise so far I'm really happy with it.

I've been using this product for almost a month now. I do not use it everyday as I understood the provided directions stating that when the product increases sensitivity to the sun so it is best to apply every other day or so when first starting to use it. I purchased this product in hopes of decreasing the dark spots I have on my cheeks due to what I believe are hyperpigmentation scars from acne :( however I use another similar product (Vitamin C Serum for Face with Hyaluronic Acid, 20% C + E Professional Topical Facial Skin Care Helps Repair Sun Damage, Fade Age Spots, Dark Circles) so it's hard to pinpoint which is most effective. I believe that together, they've helped reduce my dark spots but after almost 30 days of use, I would have hoped for more of an improvement. I do not have any photos, but I still use coverup everyday to cover my dark spots although I did notice that the less serious, lighter spots have definitely improved. I suppose the really tragic, daaaark spots will need more time. Overall, I feel that this product is of high quality as it is very hydrating - the areas I apply it to are immediately refreshened although I feel that is almost leaves a layer of moisture that I'm not particularly comfortable with, kind of like when you have sunscreen on your face. Thus I only apply it at night right before I go to bed. Otherwise it would probably bother me all day. Fortunately, it does not have any apparent negative affects on my skin - no breakouts or patches - phew. It does increase sun sensitivity so sunscreen is definitely recommended, but sunscreen should be worn everyday regardless so I guess it's just another important reason to apply sunscreen daily. There is a mild scent that I do not find offensive or bothersome. The cream spreads easily and only requires a small amount to cover a lot of surface area, which is great. In addition to treating my acne scars, I feel as though my acne problem has also ceased - yay! But I'm still not sure if it's due to this product in particular or another one that I am using. All I know is that it didn't make my acne worse.

I love this lotion which works much better than another brand I was using that cost 4x the price. This lotion goes on feeling rich and creamy but is quickly absorbed never leaving a greasy feel. I am a bit obsessed with this company because I truly every product I have tried and as a holistic Health Coach, I really appreciate that they use organic, safe ingredients and avoid parabens and other questionable ones. I also love that their products are chock full of ingredients whose effectiveness is backed by research that shows it to be effective. I know a face cream is not going to perform miracles, but I am a 54 year old AZ resident that has always had dryer skin, but since I started using Amara products my dry skin is gone and in its place I have smoother, softer skin that never flakes anymore. Their products all make my skin feel great, they smell fresh and never too strong and each one works and does what it claims to do. Bonus is the fact that their are very reasonably priced especially considering the ingredients used (which shows you how much unnecessary mark up is on other products with identical ingredients), and I love that the owners of this small company provide a personal touch with emails about how to use their products as well as fast and personal response to inquiries (which were just requests for additional products).

Makes a Big Difference In Reducing ‘Lip’ Wrinkles
I am using this product mainly for the furrow in my brow & for some wrinkles that I’ve had above my mouth. The cream has made a big difference in reducing the wrinkles above my lip & some difference in the furrow in my brow. For maximum effect of this cream I would recommend that users drink enough water, get enough sleep & take some form of collagen internally.
Does what the expensive products do and has in my opinion superior ingredients.
I bought this for my teenager who has acne. She uses Vit C serum first then this. Sometimes we use a Manuka honey(raw) face mask. She has very sensitive skin. It is reasonably priced and not too harsh so the skin does not "rebel" against it. However if there are underlying reasons for acne such as Polycystic ovaries or excess testosterone, this will only stem the tide. Nevertheless the cream does help and is not like the rip-off or harsh abrasive products pervading the internet. It does not destroy the skin either, it conditions without grease and gently brightens it so that once the underlying problem is sorted out you will still have a skin left! I would highly recommend this product as a good quality, no nonsense part of a skin regime whilst examining the deeper causes of acne. I have also tried this cream and found it a light and effective base - I actually think my skin looks brighter for it. I have spent far too much on heavily advertised products with big promises. This quietly marketed product does the same with better quality ingredients.
Was sceptical, but not now.
I'm usually very sceptical about face eye and face creams, so when I bought from Amara Organics I did not have high hopes. I did research the amount of Retinal in Amara products and how the product compared to others . Most others with Retinol have a very small amount mixed with other ingredients, Amara had the most Retinol in the product so I went ahead and made a purchase. It was reasonably priced and a 'money back guarantee. I want you to know at this point I don't normally respond to giving reviews.I have bags and dark shadows, I'm in my early sixties and have looked after my skin. After two weeks I definitely noticed my bags seemed less noticeable, still there, but seemingly softer! My skin really looks 'alive' and that's only after two weeks.I'm definitely going to stick with this product for sure.
