I have surgery in a couple days and no smoking allowed. I have searched the net like crazy found so many different answers on how long to get cotinine out of your system. So I bought a ton of these. I am 46 years old 5 foot 2 inches 127 pounds 1 pack plus a day smoker. It took 6 days to pass with flying colors with a one smoke slip on day 2. I also got the more sensitive 100ng tests passed easily in 7 days. 200ng is most lab cut off number. I took Vitamin C and Niacin during this time. Drank a gallon on cranberry juice in 6 days. Got these because I was having surgery and needed to pass a nicotine test prior. This test works like a charm. It test for anything higher than 200ng/mL of cotinine in your urine. I bought these to prep for a urinalysis for a job. I quit smoking after years of smoking heavily to work in a hospital. Having these helped ease my mind as I finally passed clean after 1.5 wks of cold turkey. I drank lots of water, stayed clear of second-hand, and did not use any nicotine replacement options. The readers are easy to use. They do not come with a cup, so you will need one. The lines are easy to read.
