This one is a classic gift. And this product is sturdy unlike the plastic ones and will last for years. It not only is easy to use but also increases the child's creativity. I got one of these when I was 6 and as the years went by I used to mix and match to come up with different designs. I still have mine from my childhood and recently did and a sketch on a small piece of wood and painted it - made for a lovely mandala style decor piece.

I immensely enjoyed creating designs, spiraling around with great ease! Each wheel is precisely created in metal, something that will last a lifetime and makes a great investment!However, I refute the message by the delivery agent: "...item placed inside resident's mailbox..." Not so! The spirograph was packaged in a large box with another item; and the delivery agent placed the box on top of the mailbox with this box exposed to the rain. In the future, I prefer my large boxes delivered to my front porch! Thank you!

A bit after my "Tonka Toy" years, I faded into lite brite, etch-a sketch and things of that nature. This set struck my curiosity and bought it. It comes with some kind of putty to hold the gears in place, but I remember pins doing that. The gears do have small holes in them, so you can fasten them that way. But you must use a type of board in back of the paper so the pins can penetrate. Didn't try it yet, but it's made of cast, gold type plated. What else can be said, very nice. Also, it comes in a nice packaged tin!
