I was really impressed with this crop when I received it. It was longer than I thought it would be, and even more flexible than expected. Since this was meant to be a Christmas gift for my significant other to be used on me, I was a little nervous that it would work too well. She loves the crop, and it does work quite well! We are both happy with this crop, and for the price, I can highly recommend it for bedroom use. I have no clue how well it works on horses though.

Update:Did it break quickly, yes. That can happen with anything but what matters is an organization that has great customer service and wants to make it right. After contacting the seller, I got a response almost immediately. A replacement was sent the same day and delivered within 2 days. I will shop with this seller in the future. The stick part of crop is very sturdy. The flat end works well and snaps like it’s supposed to. The problem is the handle. I have two of these crops and both handles had to be replaced with thicker leather handles. I just mainly loop them around my wrist in case of dogs etc and rarely use it, yet handle cannot hold up to slightest use. Other than that these crops work very well. I leather braid my own handles and attach with glue and a couple thick tack nails.

Let me first say that I am using this as a prop for a Burlesque routine so I cannot make statements towards its actual use on horses or whores. Right off the bat, I notice it is better quality than the cheap "toys" you can get at the local smoke shop when you just turned 18 and were trying to be sexually liberated and cool. Ah... the 90's. The slapper flapper leaves a nice crisp smack sound and the stick is sturdy and flexible. I purchased this based on price as I would only be using it one time for a one off routine. How it works on horses I couldn't tell you. I'll end up keeping this because I find myself saying, "I could use a riding crop," more often than one would expect. I recommend this if you need something affordable for light use or prop work. I am sure it could be used more or for more intense usage, but I will never know.

Purchased this riding crop to use on trail rides. I use this for multiple reasons including blocking and tackling spider webs on the trail as well as when my horse needs a little incentive to go forward. Just the right size, length and it is quite sturdy. Great purchase and reasonably priced.
