My son received this for his 2nd birthday. He's now almost 6 and I love that he still uses it. This is the kind of toy that even adults can enjoy. When kids come to visit our house, this seems to be the go-to toy of choice! It's definitely more on the expensive side but I would say it's worth it for what it does and how you can get such long use out of it. It's still working great - the only thing that's broken slightly is the back storage door, but I think that was just from careless shoving the instruments into the storage compartment.

This is a fantastic musical toy. Generally speaking I don't allow toys with batteries in my house, but I decided to give this a shot. It is great. The music is actual music, not super obnoxious "kids music." So far the only sound that has gotten on my nerves is the flute. The songs are mostly kid songs like Pop Goes the Weasel and Twinkle Twinkle with a few classical pieces thrown in. But again the way they are played is very pretty. My son, 3.5 has really enjoyed trying out different instruments and then will grab his rhythm sticks and dance around. We have dance parties where we do fast or slow dances based on the tempo of the music playing. You can adjust the tempo but he hasn't really figured that out yet. There is plenty to keep him occupied for now as well as different things for him to learn as he gets a little older like the difference between wind and percussion instruments. The pieces will fit in the top or store inside a compartment in the back. My son needs help making them fit in the storage part and the door for it seems a bit flimsy. The shape sorting aspect on top is a little advanced, and therefore not ideal. Even I have to turn the pieces over to see exactly how it should go. However I would gift this without hesitation. My son has enjoyed it and every adult who has seen it also wants a turn playing with it. That tells me it will be used for quite some time, assuming it holds up. At the moment I don't see any reason it wouldn't.

So looking at this toy I thought it may be way too old for my toddler I almost skipped over getting it. Low number of songs also had me questioning will we get the value out of it. But with my husband and I both being musical I decided to give it a try.While we are just a couple weeks into it my toddler understood what to do in just a couple short play sessions. Around 2 weeks in she is now trying to play instruments back in their proper slots.As far as the low number of songs, while I would like more it isn’t so bad as I thought it would be. The songs change fantastically as instruments move in and out so the main melody might not alway playing. How it can switch in and out as the instrument are changed works well. The transitions are well designed/programed.One thing to note I see some reviews where it is stuck in demo mode. Mine came that way to, which is kind of like many modern toys. Flip the power switch to off and turn it back on again takes this toy out of demo mode.

This little gadget is so nice. Each instrument makes its own sound so you can have a full orchestra or a single instrument solo. The only thing I would change is to have all the songs be classical music, but the kids seem happy with pop goes the weasel mixed in! We gave it to two families, and the kids play with it consistently. Even the parents like to sneak it out of the kids rooms after bedtime to play orchestra conductor! Highly recommend!

Brilliant toy. Parents and two and three yo enjoy playing. 15 recognizable songs and the flashing lights are an awesome addition! We would like to add the name of each shape for child to learn the 13 different shapes and colors of the instrument. We highly recommend buying this for anyone who enjoys classical music!

Very attractive and well thought out toy. I bought this for my daughter for Christmas because I secretly wanted to play with it (my daughter is only 9 months old). She has three older sibs who will all enjoy it too but I’ll update my review after Christmas with that info.Well thought out- lights up to show you which instruments play accompaniment and which play melody. Adjusts with each song because it changes. Lights also show which instruments belong to each family (brass, percussion, etc). The storage compartment in back is genius and easily fits all the instruments. The clear shell allows you to see the inner workings- pretty neat for older/techy kids. The volume control is a plus for adults and the song choice is decent.I loved that you don’t have to have the instruments in their “home base” in order for it to work- the baby knocks them out but it doesn’t matter. The only thing that affects music is placing instruments in the pit. I’m 35 and I have fun playing with this toy!The two things that felt “meh” were:1- The selection of songs is good but I’d like even more or a way to add more. The songs will most likely get old after a while. In my opinion, not a reason to not buy though!2- The “Tempo” feature does speed up/slow down the song but it also simultaneously changes the pitch of the instruments (remember the Yak Bak?). So for those a little more picky about semantics, the “tempo” feature might be annoying. However, I think the kids will actually like it. Again, not a reason to not buy.This toy is amazingly fun, attractive, intuitive, and seemingly well built, so absolutely worth the cost. Another plus is that the plastic molded packaging is recyclable. We’ll see what my kids think on Christmas and I’ll be curious to see how long the batteries last.

This is literally the coolest toy either of my kids have ever had. I could play with it for hours. They like it too but probably not as much as me haha.But seriously if you need a toy to entertain your own brain while sitting there playing with a baby all day buy this thing. It is awesome!
Geniales Spielzeug für Musikfans
Als das Teil angekommen ist, hab ich es gleich einmal ausprobiert:Die einzelnen Instrumente haben je einen Platz auf dem Orchesteraufbau, wo sie durch Farbe und Form angeordnet werden können. Verstauen kann man sie alle im inneren des Plastikteils.Schaltet man das Spielzeug ein und stellt ein Instrument in den Orchestergraben, muss man nur noch auf Start drücken und ein Lied ertönt im Klang des aufgestellten Instruments. Bis zu 6 Instrumente können so gemeinsam musizieren. Während das Lied spielt, kann man Instrumente herunter nehmen oder austauschen. Das ist großartig, um die einzelnen Klänge den Instrumenten zuzuordnen und selbst etwas zu "komponieren".Insgesamt wirkt das Spielzeug wertig, aber nicht modern. Das stört aber nicht, finde ich. Für Kinder ist es meiner Meinung nach sogar ziemlich interessant, auch die Innenwelt des Spielzeugs zu sehen.Blinklichter sind auch noch vorhanden. Vor allem für jüngere Kinder zusätzlich interessant.Wie es bei meinem Kind ankommt, steht noch offen. Ich bin aber sehr sicher, dass es begeistert sein wird. Zu Weihnachten wissen wir's.Ich habe es um ca. 56€ während der Prime Days bestellt.Natürlich ist das viel Geld. "Zu teuer" find ich es trotzdem nicht. Immerhin bietet das Teil auch einiges und etwas Vergleichbares habe ich bisher noch nirgends gefunden.Zur Haltbarkeit und Widerstandsfähigkeit kann ich noch nichts sagen.

Génial mais ...
Produit génial dans sa conception. Bien pensé, pratique (rangements etc).Par contre la qualité laisse à désirer, surtout au vu du prix. Le jeu n'a plus voulu fonctionner du jour au lendemain, sans raison particulière. Après un retour, le second exemplaire a quelques défauts au niveau des baffles (grésillements), nous verrons s'il est à nouveau nécessaire de le renvoyer.
