5.0 out of 5 stars Great inexpensive option for Cat6 Cable in the smaller bulk volume category.
If you are looking for a smaller amount of quality cable, but bulk, like I needed with the 250', this is going to get you there and save you some money in the process. The wires all work as expected for Cat6. For my uses so far, I get 1Gbps and 2.5Gbps no problem well within spec distance at around 40', and 10Gbps well within spec distance at around 10'.It's cable, it's got wires that work, a nice core, and a good price. You need Cat6? This will give you what you need.
5.0 out of 5 stars nicely packaged
is easy to pull off the roll in the box but get a bit twisted . Jacket seems to be decent but I did tear some on jagged concrete which might be due to being a little careless .I have about 50 ft strun on the house outdoors , will see how sunlight effects it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good value cable
I was tempted to only give this product 4/5 stars but it is a really good product for the money. The reason this is much cheaper than the 500ft box of cat6 you can get at your local home improvement store is b/c this is copper clad aluminum cable and not solid copper. Because of that I initially had some trouble making patch cables with this b/c the wires were a little bit weaker than what I was used to working with. The product clearly states what it is and costs almost 40% less than solid copper cat 6, even though I wasted 20 or 30 feet getting the hang of using it, I still feel like I got a good deal on this product.
4.0 out of 5 stars Half the spool was bad
I just had a really frustrating day in my attic pulling a ~30ft run of this cat6. Apparently I got a bad batch, because after doing two separate pulls and reterminating the RJ45 ends multiple times, I couldn't get this cable to carry signal. Very frustrating and as a result I'll be avoiding this brand in the future. As other reviewers noted, the box would occasionally snag when pulling as well. But that may be my fault for tipping it over a few times, unsure.Edit: turns out I was just crimping wrong. I'm an idiot! This stuff is fine. Seems a little thin, but works fine.Remember kids, check your wiring diagrams twice.
1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap product, seller is misguiding
They are hiding the fact that it is copper clad aluminum wire, by using acronyms CCA and at the bottom of the page, they write copper clad aluminum wire which is not for commercial use. This product is very fragile and doesn't work under you treat it like a baby.I installed it in my house, through the attic and now I am getting speed on 100MBPS only where as my access point is close to 900 MBPS. this is not a good cable, do not save money by going with this product, you will regret it
5.0 out of 5 stars Top notch product
I have used a lot of CAT cable and this one was easy to work with, punch down and put pass through ends on. Only issue was the outer shell could have been a little more robust. Was easy to cut to the point it would continue to split if nicked.
3.0 out of 5 stars Low quality cable
Cable itself works as spec’d. The quality of casing is low and the cable itself is fragile. I had to pull the cable twice (and very gently) as it was easily damaged the first time without going around any closed off bends. Should work fine for easy out in the open cables but wouldn't recommend for pulling through any walls or obstructions.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good wire
Good stuff, solid copper
Great product. Easy to assemble and use.
The cover is little flimsy but the copper cables are really good.
All good
All good
Funciona bien en exteriores.
Se compro para realizar una instalación donde el cable iba a quedar expuesto al exterior. No hemos tenido problemas con la velocidad, ni tampoco con intermitencia. El tramo mas largo que se instalo es de 30metros.
Nice cable but will not hold up to cold?
This cable is a great cat6 cable. Conductors are solid and wire strips easily only thing is the outter sheilding does not do well with cold? I live in ALberta Canada and when it dips below -20 this cables outter sheilding is brittle and cracks. I know its an indoor cable BUT when you are running lines in a new home that does not have the heat on yet it makes it quite difficult? I gave it 4 stars for that problem. Recommend for a homeowner that needs it for small heated indoor jobs BUT not a contractor that is in the cold for this reason!
Calidad media
El plástico que cubre el trenzado no es muy grueso, se puede arrancar muy fácilmente. Si vas a utilizarlo para hogar y no maniobrar el cable después está ok. No lo recomendaría para hacer patch cords, fuera de una tubería.
