5.0 out of 5 stars My Great Grand DAughters favorit tablet
(function(){ P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function'){ A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })() We are two old fogies raising two great grand kids - the oldest one (three years old), loves this tablet and plays it all the time - she is autistic and stays up for a while at bed time playing in the dark, this one lights up in the dark, so it's the toy of choice at bed time too. We bought our first one in a yard sale, but lately, her brother (terrible two!) jumped on it and broke the screen. this led me to buy one here, which arrived with melted batteries that damaged the device, so I had to return it and ask for another.High and behold, the second one arrived with melted batteries too! But this time, there was no serious damage and I was able to clean it up with alcohol and WD40 to get it working.I still give it five stars because it's not the tablets fault someone put live batteries in it.Who ever is hosting these devices should correct the battery problem.
5.0 out of 5 stars Two of my children now have it! We love the VTech Little Apps Tablets-It is tremendous!
We have had several VTech Little Apps Tablets. Initially, we received it for my two-year-old as a gift and he fell in love. At first, it began with just poking buttons and moving the little tab but it grew into a wonderful experience for him. He learned so much that it is unbelievable. Scout (the main character) in the tablet taught him to count, letters, numbers, shapes, and so much more. He would surprise us all the time with what he learned. After he had it for six months, he dumped a glass of milk on it and we immediately replaced it. It is not liquid friendly by any means. Now my second child who is 1 1/2 has taken interest in little phones, tiny tablets, and all of his older brothers' toys that make noise. The Vtech tablet did not survive because it began to glitch. I have ordered him a new VTech Tablet and am so happy that he gets to explore the world of wonder that this brother so adored. This is a wonderful tablet. It is full of adventure and learning.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fun toy for preschoolers!!!!
I love all the features this toy offers for such an affordable price, there are numbers and the alphabet and and lots of fun exercises to do while playing around with the numbers and the ABC's. Its simply up to the parent to sit with their child and teach them also, too many parents these days want toys to teach their kids but they don't want to have to invest any time into helping them also, so if the kids aren't learning they immediately criticize the toy and are really fast to give it a bad review here. My daughter owns quite a few V tech toys and I am not saying all V tech toys are great and geared toward learning , we as parents just have to remember its only a toy and we cant substitute a toy for a person that would sit and explain everything the toy is doing. I am doing this with my daughter at the moment and she is really smart and she is only 20 months. As for the features of the toy, the buttons are flat and not raised and the screen is not colored but the voice used is cute and not irritating as is the problem with a lot of the toys these days. Its not obnoxiously loud and that was a plus for me also, the keyboard is really fun and my daughter enjoys playing the music there, when she gets a little older and is speaking properly I will begin to teach her everything this wonderful toy has to offer. The packaging was easy to open and it was still secure enough so the toy wasn't moving around in the box. It was delivered well before the estimated date of delivery also.
4.0 out of 5 stars If you want a simple and affordable kids computer than this is it
This toy was under 15 bucks shipped and and it is a great entry into getting a child his/her first tablet. This tablet does NOT have touchscreen, and is quite limited in terms of programs, but the programs it does contain are good and i believe that this is a great teaching tool to pick up before investing 50+ dollars into one of the more versatile tablets . In fact for the 2/3 year old the limitations on this model make it more user friendly(they are not just swiping pictures on a screen) with the keyboard interface being good for sensory and motor development. Several years ago this would have been one of the 50+ dollar kids computers- now it's the cost of a pie of pizza. Good to have around for the 2-5 year old. The piano is fun and the abc's and other programs make this entertaining even for the 5-7 year old, that is until they get ipad or leapfrog envy. Overall a good purchase at a good price. More like an old school pre-programmed kids laptop than a proper tablet but fun, functional, and compact nonetheless. A note on the volume: The volume of the unit out of the box is loud and annoying. The volume can be turned down and it's not that bad, especially if your already used to kids music/electronic toys.
5.0 out of 5 stars My 2 year old's favorite toy
This little tablet was gifted to my daughter at 14 months- well below the suggested age range, as she couldn't really play any of the games or navigate how it tells you to, but she was obsessed with the ability to change the colors, and the piano function, and the noises it makes as you press various keys. She would spend hours with it and it would come everywhere with us. She is now 26 months old, and her original one broke (I think liquid got spilled onto the screen- it only turns on occasionally) and she was heartbroken! She often tossed the thing at me asking me to fix, but I couldn't and new batteries didn't help any. So, this is the replacement and she loves it just the same. Now that she is older, she seems to be paying more attention to the words the adorable little bear says, and can adjust volume, colors, and even seems to play a few of the games (more or less, find the letter, find the number, music, etc). She carries it everywhere! I did buy her a smaller Vtech age appropriate touch tablet that shows her colors and shapes and lights up too- but she still prefers this one over the other. I like that the sounds and music are not annoying, so that even if she's playing with it next to me or in the car i'm not being driven insane, and she's happily entertained. Highly recommend this toy!
Awesome product.
(function(){ P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function'){ A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })() It came nicely packed. No damage. Great job vendor. Excellent condition and would definitely buy again.Thank you.
Muy buen producto
Es entretenida para pequeños y/o pequeñas. Pueden incluso llegar a aprender números y letras en inglés si se juega con ellos y se les explica. Para el precio cumple muy bien con su objetivo.
Its a good buy and keeps kids engaged
I bought this as a birthday gift for my 2 year old nephew. Initially his parents and his were thinking this is too advanced for his age. But there are numerous activities in the product with loony sounds and effects that eventually my nephew started liking it and even now a year later there are functions in them he mostly uses and some a little advanced in age.Helps his parents also to keep him engaged esp during lock down time.
