Works great for very thin slicing! I use it mostly for onions for onion burgers.I've tried the julienne blade with a sweet potato and it worked fairly well, but sweet potato is probably the limit of hardness it can handle.The hidden blade feature is really nice and its pretty easy to clear.I haven't used the "spiky holder thing" though as I wear cut-proof gloves and just use my hand

I was looking for something to replace my KitchenAid mandolin. I found this one and because the box was damaged, I got a great deal. It’s even better than my old one and sturdier. It cuts well and I like that it makes crinkle cuts too. It’s simple to use and the blade stores safely in a slot.

I ordered 3 of these. One of them was the slicer in the picture and 2 of them were a different Cuisinart mandolin. The main difference is the piece that holds the vegetable while you slice. The one pictured has a spring so that three metal prongs can go deep into the vegetable. The other two only have spikes to hold the vegetable. I feel like I paid for something I didn't get, but I don't have time to return before Christmas.

I have several vegetable slicers ! Some regulate the size of the fruits or vegetables! With this design, I am able to slice cabbage and other irregular size vegetables without having to reduce them to a manageable size first! Manual and electric food processors require a specific size to put through a feed tube! This model removes that limitation! And it’s easier to clean and store! I have a nice electric food processor! But it requires setup and lots of cleaning after usage! For small meals, this mandolin is perfect!

This mandoline works great. I love the gripper that prevents you from cutting yourself. I use it to slice lemons and limes to make fancy ice cubes. I have also sliced sweet potatoes to make my dog treats. Works great when you want consistent cuts.

We ordered this mandoline because our garden veggies were beginning to come in and we wanted to preserve beets. I was in the process of peeling and washing a bushel of beets when the delivery truck arrived, so we tore open the box and immediately began to use the slicer. It was very easy to use and sliced those beets perfectly. We plan to use it for other things, like slicing pickling cucumbers and other garden produce. Great item and worth the price!

Supuse que por ser una muy buena marca, sería un excelente producto pero le falta muuuucho filo.El sujetador (de los vegetales y frutos) no es eficiente, ni ergonómico.
