If purchased on sale through warehouse/resale, then know that the best buy dates could be short. Kind of like when you buy from clearance section in grocery store. That being said, a regular purchase should have a year or two on it. Would be nice if those saying they have short dates on theirs were from a sale or not.I bought these on sale, and mine have a short best by date-- just a few months out. I am fine with that and expected it. These will be fine a few years from now if for some reason I havent gotten to them. Best by does not have anything to do with safety.The cans look good. No dents. That would bother me more.Use can opener to access contents. LOVE the diced potatoes. I dont often buy or use fresh potatoes let alone canned ones, but the diced sure come in handy for stretching meals and making quick meals. Even tastes pretty good direct from can! Nice for emergency situations.I like the diced better than the whole. More options, easier to use, and the general uniformity of the cubes are appealing.I keep canned potatoes in my pantry as it is sometimes a savings over buying fresh and failing to use them. I just dont go through enough potatoes. Keeping canned on hand is just convenient. I'll get the fresh when I have made a for sure plan to use them (ie roasted, mashed).My cans are packed to the brim. Pay a little more for this brand but I think I get more compared to some generics.

Open the can, drain, leave whole or cut them up.I don't know if these are partially cooked, they are firm, but they definitely did not seem raw by any means. I've cut them up and fried them with sausage, I've also left them as is and threw them together with a can of cooked beef to make a lazy meal.They taste clean, no dirty flavor or bitterness.

I like these simply heated and smothered with butter. I like these diced up and fried, sometimes along with ground sausage, sometimes with scrambled eggs added to use in a breakfast bowl or wrapped in a tortilla for a breakfast burrito. It's a great way to add potatoes to your emergency prep stockpile. It's convenient to keep a case in your pantry and they store longer than a sack of potatoes.

My partner loves canned whole potatoes. I keep trying to get him to eat the much less expensive fresh bagged potatoes bought locally, but he doesn’t like to fix them. He likes to just dump stuff out of a can and nuke it. But not only are canned potatoes more expensive than fresh, we often cannot find whole potatoes in the stores…only sliced, which he doesn’t like. So I’m glad this ten-pack is available on Bolo. The price is decent compared to the grocery store, and it’s eligible for Subscribe-and-Save.
