Thiamin ("vitamin B1") is fundamental to human metabolism because it is essential for the metabolism of oxygen. The microscopic "power plants" of our cells (mitochondria) require thiamin to generate energy, but elsewhere in the cells it is also required for energy generation. Thiamin is important for metabolizing amino acids, the building blocks of proteins, but is especially important for managing sugar and other carbohydrates, and can be depleted by high-carbohydrate diets. Thiamine even helps support the delicate blood vessels of the retina and other tissues in the presence of high levels of circulating blood sugar. This vitamin is absorbed only as thiamin (not as other thiamin vitamins) in the upper small intestine. Alcohol can impair the proteins that transport thiamin, and high alcohol consumption is linked to thiamine deficiency. The brain and other nervous tissues have especially high thiamin requirements. Other organs with high oxygen requirements, such as the heart, also have high demand for thiamine.

The ingredients work well for me. The B 12 is made from a natural source and it is at higher than average dose of 1,000 mg, (natural source of Methylcoba... .) I had a B12 deficiency, so far down that I had enemia. After taking the natural B12 ( with larges dosages than just the multi), for 3 months it is now shown as "high."I've also learned that Thiamin, B1, is also often low in people. So I'm very glad this multi has a high dosage of 60 mg, that is 5,000% of the "daily value."Some multi B vitamin products show the same amount for just about every vitamin listed, like all 50 mg. However this vitamin is more specific.I appreciate it that all the amounts are relatively high. A good bargain.

Well, these things are the B supplement we have been waiting for! My therapist taught me a bit about methylation and how a great many people do have issues with it. So here we go on the hunt. After trying a couple of other supplements with methylated B vitamin complex, this one delivers the same great results as the other brands while being an excellent value. My meds really drain me and eating too much makes me sleep. This just helps me with everything. I have begun to insist that my husband take this daily as well. If I don't I can tell I forgot! Now this will make your urine so yellow it is a bit frightening. I also have been told by a few clinicians not to have this supplement after 6 pm. because it can exacerbate insomnia.

B vitamins are so essential for good health and help with energy.I take mine mid -day with a snack to give me an energy boost. It's better than any energy drink!My hair has also grown in better with less Grey.Overall, if you are looking for a good quality B complex, I definitely recommend this!

I think these B vitamins are great, I notice my pee is very yellow after I take them so they have. A good concentration level.
