About this item:
The N400 is one of two computer cases joining the N200 in Cooler Master's new N-Series. Along with its brothers, the N400 has numerous features that help it stand apart from the competition. It does so with a full array of exciting options that have been designed specifically with cooling performance in mind, especially water cooling. Its full mesh front panel and well-ventilated layout provide for a more abundant flow of air throughout the case. Fully embracing water cooling, N400 supports radiators up to 240 mm.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice case to build with lots of storage
I don't tend to spend a lot on my components. I want solid, long life, but for bells and whistles I save that for the software. This lower-priced case seemed to fit the bill, so I figured I'd give it a whirl. One of the things I noticed again and again: no sharp edges. I have been doing this long enough that I remember when several serious cuts were always part of the deal when building or repairing a computer. This case has rounded all the edges, and it makes it feel like quality. Also, it improves the rigidity of the metal just a bit.The case is spacious, with lots of drive bays. I'm not sure how one would use the bottom bay, unless the drive was installed upside down (which would have its own retention issues), but I'm not using anywhere close to the available drive bays. Also, although I thought I had used up the tool-free mounting hardware, when I looked on the other side, I found some more, so I'm not even using all of the drive mounting clips.I've heard that some new computer cases have foundation panels that can be removed. While I can see that being handy, this isn't one of those cases. However, by focusing on getting the motherboard and power supply in first, it was easy to access everything I needed, and there's plenty of space to run cables behind the foundation for drives or front panel.I haven't tested out the audio, etc. on the front panel, but that's not hugely important to me.Bottom line for me: if you want lots of drive bays, including exposed 5.25" bays (for optical drives, or the like) this is a good case for a reasonable price. I added a fan on the side panel, and I understand the complaints about the meshes being impossible to remove for cleaning once the system is built, but it seems to have good airflow. I like the tool-free installation of drives, including the optical drive, and I even used the SSD slot on the back side of the drive bays. The only improvement possible for the drive bays would be to mount them laterally, but that would have airflow consequences, and the case would be slightly less stiff.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent case if you're building a NAS
This is the best case for building a NAS, excellent value for the money. You get a lot of drive bays, both 3.5" and 5.25", which you don't seem to get in most cases today. It's also fully metal, so you don't have to worry about the glass.
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice All Metal Standard Business Class ATX Computer Case
Seemingly far and few today, this is a standard all metal business class ATX computer case, but with some hindrances.Using a Gigabyte Z790 UD AC ATX motherboard, the interior is quite small and tight after power supply cables are connected to the motherboard and trying to connect SATA cables to the SATA header! SATA motherboard header has very little clearance between the rear of the storage drives and SATA header.Shrugs as to why the SATA header is always a 90 degree angle.PROS1) A standard/business all metal computer ATX case.2) Apparently decent working dust filters.3) Power button is lit, however only lights when unit is turned on.CONS1) Little clearance between the 90 degree SATA motherboard header and rear of storage drives. Seems more so a motherboard concern, however still very little clearance between motherboard and storage drives.2) Interior of the case is black, everything is black, making seeing and distinguishing parts very difficult. I usually prefer readily light refracting white interiors, making interior lighting almost not necessary.3) Push buttons on the front of the case are black, requiring additional stickers for distinguishing the buttons.4) Difficult to distinguish the front USB 2 ports from USB 3 ports, again requiring additional labeling/stickers. A minor note.5) Some of the plastic storage drive securing fasteners are finicky or difficult to work with.6) Vertical sides of drive bays are extremely tight! No indications of shipping damage, so likely plan on a very tight sliding insertion or removal removal for your spinning hard and optical media drives!7) The PCI face plate base slots are either extremely tight or bent/damaged, and purchasers may not know until after the motherboard is secured! I had to use a small diameter long tool pick for prying some of the base slots further open from an apparent bent position!8) For a desktop computer case sitting on the floor, the power switch sits extremely low to the ground. Required adding an external power switch, couldn't think of bending over every day for power-on, unless using wake on LAN!9) PCI case non-reusable slot covers are lightly welded and should be immediately removed prior to motherboard installation! Else the motherboard components can be exposed to loose metal shards during removal! Shrugs as to why the case manufacture did not include reusable PCI slots, had to also order extras myself, as well as the larger thumbscrews, as the smaller screws can easily get lost within the motherboard components.10) I wasn't aware the back panel had already had 3/8 to 1/2 inch diameter external wiring ports. Easily overlooked. Did not see the lightly welded plate diameter holes, until I had already drilled, fitted and installed a reusable PCI slot cover with a rubber grommet and wiring!Otherwise, probably a far better case than most of the other Plexiglass computer cases nowadays!
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent case with 5.25 bays
ODD bays are rare these days. I like them for case port expansions. This is one of the few cases that has them. Also, 4 USB ports are very rare on mid-towers. This case has 4 (two 3.0's and two 2.0's). Most cases only have 1 of each which just isn't enough. Finally, most cases have side windows with no ability to install a fan for direct cooling to the motherboards. This case has a side fan mount. I love it.
Excelente gabinete
Good quality, low cost, simple design.
A great case for those who want a simple yes classy design. Enough room for several additional fans if desired, and was mostly easy to work with. Some areas are a bit tricky to deal with compared to some cases that make life simpler, but everything is made solid and most of the case is metal, so there isn't really any cheap plastic involved. This makes for a sturdy case with decent room for whatever you might need in any good-tier computer builds
Basic case good air flow
Basic Case but well ventilated. Holds lots of drives and not a giant case. I really like it. Especially the left side 140mm opening. Very cool - kept GPU at 55C & CPU at 50C (Cinebench 2024)
Looks so much better, out of the box!
The cost is awesome. The case looks professional, belongs in an office. Not to mention, so much better looking out of the box! The # of components you can put in is fantastic. I have 8 fans mounted. PERFECT FOR A WORKSTATION.For a first time pc builder, it was great! At some point you may need the assistance of someone with thin fingers or small hands.Downside is the plastic SSD bracket. Just buy a new one when you get the case, not worth trying.
