I really love Tovolo kitchen products, so I decided to shell out a little bit more and get Tovolo's ice cream container instead of the opting to save a few dollars on a no-name brand.I'm glad I did. Tovolo products are usually excellent quality, and this container is no exception. It's made of BPA-free plastic, is double-walled, and has an airtight lid to seal out freezer burn. It also has a non-slip base so you can easily scoop out your homemade ice cream without the container sliding all over the counter.I love the slim design because we have a relatively small freezer and space is at a premium. The slender profile fits easily into a freezer door, and takes up much less room than those round, grocery store ice cream containers.The only thing I am a little disappointed in is that I wish this slim design came in a 2-quart option, because my homemade ice cream recipe makes slightly more than 1.5 quarts, but a lot less than the next size up, which is 2.5 quarts. I had to improvise and put the leftover ice cream mixture into a different container.

Homemade ice cream is a staple in our household and coming up with containers was always a problem. I ran across this Tovolo Glide-A-Scoop ice cream tub and was intrigued by the shape and concept.This is a three piece container which consists of the outer part and then an inset tub that doesn't touch the outer holder, creating an air insulator. This keeps the ice cream very cold when removed from the freezer to serve up a portion. I have had absolutely no problem with the lid closing tightly but I will say that I never ever put this in the dishwasher. I've had other containers loose their tight seal after being subjected to the high dishwasher temperatures.One of the features of this container that I really like is the shape of the inset container. It's rounded at both ends and along the bottom making this have no corners and the ice cream scoop gets every bit, leaving nothing in the crevices. I love the fact that the outer part comes in four different colors so that I don't have to open each one just to find out what kind of ice cream it contains. We like to have several different flavors available at one time and this is just the ticket for this. They also stack, saving space in the freezer. Another nice feature is the ring of silicone around the bottom edge of the outside container making it slip proof when scooping out the hard ice cream.I realize that this is more costly than glad ware or a like product but these keep my ice cream fresher than the thin plastic storage containers. This container holds five cups of ice cream which is about right for a kitchen ice cream maker. Right now we have on hand fresh raspberry, butter pecan and black walnut ice cream. I keep a note on the freezer door telling what is in each color. Whatever the mood calls for.

Fits perfect right next to the ice bin in my freezer. I like to make homemade sorbets and ice cream and this makes it easier to layer ingredients. The shape also makes it easier to scoop than a regular Tupperware type bowl or container. By gliding your scoop from one end to the other you get that perfect ball of sorbet or ice cream for the cone or bowl.The bottom piece detaches from the inside colored piece for easy cleaning. Lid only fits facing one direction so if your lid doesn't fit try turning it the other way. Well insulated, keeps my frozen desserts frozen and helps prevent ice crystals. I love how the bottom of the container grips the countertop and doesn't slide around the counter while I scoop! These ice cream tubs don't take up very much room in the freezer either, allowing room for other items. You can also stack a few on top of each other. They do seem to be a bit pricey but they work good and are well made. Mine has been in use for almost two years, has never lived outside of the freezer, and still looks brand new!I bought the Raspberry Tart color,...very pretty!

Love the sturdiness of the Tovolo Ice Cream tub in the 2.5 qt. Fits a batch of homemade ice cream perfectly in just one container and I like the shape of the container also. My only problem is the rubber seal keeps lifting off of the perimeter of the inside of the lid and it is hard to get it back in place. This lifted off the very first time I opened the package. It doesn't seem to seal perfectly well either, maybe due to the rubber seal not sitting tight. A little disappointed because this brand appears to be the best made product for ice cream storage. But otherwise, I like it.

Ordered these based on other reviews and product information and was not disappointed! Perfect size for a batch of ice cream from our Cuisinart ice cream maker. Fits nicely in our freezer even though it doesn't have door pockets -neatly stacks with other items. Keeps ice cream super fresh with no freezer burn and makes it so easy to scoop! I think these are so awesome that it might be worth putting store bought ice cream into these instead of cardboard packaging!

Tubs themselves don’t feel super cold to the touch, nice silicone lids, just the right containers for homemade ice cream. I use a kitchenaid ice cream bowl attachment and a full bowl fills the round container, you can fit two in the loaf-style container

Demorei pra avaliar pois quis testar várias vezes. O produto é resistente; mesmo indo constantemente pro freezer e pra lava louça (água quente) ele manteve bem a vedação. Muito bom.
