My Great Pyrenees and Pitbull both eat way too fast and my Great Pyr recently regurgitated food dramatically because of it and as some of us know, that can lead to dangerous situations like aspiration. I bought 2 of these, large, and they are PERFECT! Easy to clean too! They slow the eating WAY down and I see not aggravation at all from the dogs. I do always take the bowls back up after they eat, since I presume some dogs may try to chew up the bowl, which would Not be good. All in all -- I HIGHLY recommend these bowls! What a relief for me, and better safety for my babies -- which is the #1 thing. :)

I got this more as an enrichment toy than a slow feeder for my dog, but it works well for both purposes. It’s quality material, non-slip and fits a good amount of food in it. Although it says the large fits 4 cups of kibble, I could only fit closer to 3 without it completely overflowing so take that into consideration depending on your needs.He’s a giant breed and a bit lazy so sometimes he leaves a bit leftover in the smaller crevices, but even with his big snout he is able to get all the food out if he feels like it.I probably wouldn’t have bought it at full price but on sale for $11 it was a good deal. Even at full price, it would be worth it if I needed a slow feeder for my dog because this brand makes consistently good products, I just can’t usually afford them. But I do have a lot of their puzzles, etc. because I trust the brand and just keep an eye out for good sales.I haven’t put it in the dishwasher yet(need to check and see if it’s dishwasher-safe, but I believe it is) but it’s quite easy to rinse clean with soapy hot water. And a bottle brush will likely get the job done for a more thorough clean. Just be careful when you rinse it out because the curves and angles of the bowl make a good water chute and you’ll splash yourself/everything if the faucet is turned on too high.

This has solved my issue of my German Shepard inhaling his food. He is 7 and never had this issue until he was neutered recently. This bowl fits 2.5 cups well, without over flowing. The only downfall I'd have to say is that the bowl slides around on our hardwood floors. I am going to have to look for something to put under it to prevent him chasing his bowl around.

Outward Hound Fun Feeder Slo Bowl, Slow Feeder Dog Bowl, Large/Regular, PurpleI initially had a large, heavy ceramic slow feeder that I loved using for my large dog. It worked great but after washing it and picking it up, it slipped from my fingers and shattered. It also cut my hand. So although I was very happy with it, I did not want a bowl that was fragile. I then looked into stainless steel. I got one and the indentations were simply too shallow, which did nothing to slow down my dog’s eating. I ended up returning that one. So after reading the reviews I decided on trying this one. I love how deep and intricate the grooves are. When I use the food scoop I can place his kibble strategically into each hollow. It takes him several minutes now to eat vs. his few seconds. The vet recommended we feed him less due to some weight gain. The bowl is short and wide. I think this helps since he is eating less kibble, it is spread out a lot more and hopefully for him not as noticeable that he’s being fed less. Highly recommended. I may purchase a second one to have on hand.

Es un gran producto ya que cumple con su función de retardar el tiempo en finalizar el alimento de nuestras mascotas. En mi caso es un perro de 35Kg que adopté que se abalanzaba sobre la comida y de 15s que se tardaba con su plato normal ahora con este plato se tarda hasta 4 min!El material es muy resistente y tiene una base como de silicona antiderrapante que mantiene el plato en su lugar aunque el perro manipule mucho con su lengua y boca al comer!Estoy muy feliz con la comora resultados, compraré otro para mí otro perrito!
