5.0 out of 5 stars 4 1/2 stars- Well-made, lots of room for Sennheiser HD600/650s. Not really a good travel case though
Excellent case for a pair of Sennheiser HD650's. Nice and roomy with a thick foam insert to position the earcups in. There's enough room to store these with the cables left plugged in, which is great since who wants to remove the cables every time they pack up their cans? The case is made of a very sturdy hardshell and the fabric covering it looks sharp. The zipper mechanism appears to be very well-made, and zips and unzips easily. Some cases cheap out on the zipper, so that's a nice plus. The case also comes with some accessories - a small faux-leather pouch for storing an extra cable, plus a little detachable velcro pouch that attaches to the case opposite where the headphones reside to use for other swag. I'd imagine this would fit HD600s and a number of other Sennheiser models - in addition to other similarly sized headphones - with room to spare. This level of quality comes at a cost - literally. This is more expensive than a lot of other cases designed for this line of headphones. But as they say, you get what you pay for.One note of warning: this case is bulky. At 9.25" x 9" x 5.5", I would not consider this a very convenient case for traveling. I am not using these cans on the go - these are strictly for home listening as they're open back, and require more juice than a phone or an iPod can dish out - this is for safe storage at home when they aren't in use. I have earbuds I use for travel. I'd suggest that you look elsewhere if you are looking for a case for taking your headphones with you on vacation. One other observation on this point: I suspect there's so much headroom in the case that the phones could move around a bit inside even when the case is closed.Overall I am pleased. This is perfect for my needs; durable, roomy, and looks to be built of a very high quality. If you plan to use this for home storage, I can recommend it highly. If you plan to use it for travel though you may want to keep looking.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works Well for HD800s
This has been an excellent case. It is my first experience with a Geekria product and so far I’m impressed. It comes lightly packaged but the case looks very nice. It comes with a small leather like pouch and a Velcro pouch that sticks to the inside of the case and has elastic straps. The pouch is small but I suppose you could hold a small cable, IEM’s, or adapters. The velcro pouch could hold similar things and the elastic straps could hold small cables. While I do like there inclusion, neither of them will be very useful for me in any way that I can see yet. It also has an included foam insert with two earcup cutouts. The foam is of decent quality but I’ve seen better. The case feels of nice quality. The Shell isn’t super thick but hard enough to protect your headphones while keeping things lightweight. The material on the outside of the case feels nicely textured and is even somewhat stylish. The inside is a soft material that allows velcro to attach to it which opens up a lot of storage options. There is also a handle on the back of the case so it can be held like a suitcase. The handle is unobtrusive but feels sturdy and definitely an appreciated addition. The zipper is ok but I’ve seen better with more water proofing or resistance but it does seem like it will hold up well.It easily holds my HD800s which none of my other cases were able to do and it does it snug without it shaking loosely in the closed case. It also comfortably holds one of my stock cables over the top of the headphones otherwise if you have Velcro straps you can attach your cables to the top of the case in one of two ways. Either just strap them down to the case or use velcro cable wraps to tie your cable with the hook portion on the outside of the wrap to just attach them to the top. It also has enough room to make a cutout for carrying small DAC/Amps like the Schiit Fulla 2 in addition to headphones and cables so if you’re willing to fabricate or customize I think their is a lot of room for potential here. While I do really like the case there are a few areas I think could improve. First of all I would have liked to see velcro cable straps included for either securing cables or even headphones in the case. Second I would have liked to have an uncut foam pad for the user to size and cut for their specific headphones. I’m considering buying some elastic velcro straps and a better piece of black foam to customize more for the HD800s specifically. Lastly I don’t see any way to see which is the top or bottom of the case which means you can open it the wrong way. I don’t see this being a major problem as the headphones inside shouldn’t fall or get damaged from opening it the wrong way by it would be nice to be able to easily distinguish the top and bottom of the case.Considering it holds the very large HD800s with room to spare I can’t imagine many headphones it couldn’t accomdate. Overall I think it could use a little work to be perfect but for the price and the fact that it really does what it sets out to do and it does it well it is still a great case and an easy one to recommend.Update: I did find a small loop maybe for a carabiner on one of the open sides of the case. You can see it in the picture of the case holding the HD800s. This small tab can be a good indicator for top and bottom that I didn’t notice before.Update 2: I gave 5 stars for its ability to protect my large HD800s headphones but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend the case unless you had large headphones or wanted the extra space to hold other things, due to it being a much larger case than a lot of other headphone cases. Still a great case but something to keep in mind.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great case even if a bit too big for HE-4XX
Bought this to transport my Massdrop x Hifiman HE-4xx to work, and I am rather impressed by the value. They only real complaint I would have is it's a bit too tall for the HE-4xx (or HE-400). The foam does its job, but I feel like this case could really use the "Pelican" foam treatment. The case holds the headphones, comes with a leather drawstring bag (for cable), and a velcro multi-pouch for the top. It has enough room for my Fiio K3 to go in, so it makes the whole experience a bit more consolidated. The handle and overall constructions seems durable, and it feels like more quality than you pay for. There's another version I think for quite a bit more, and I'm not sure if that version is worth the upgrade now that I have this one.I'm recommending this so much, I am going to pick one up for my Sennheiser HD6XX coming next month.
5.0 out of 5 stars They fit my headphones and my Walkman
I wanted a case to protect my Sennheiser headphones so my cat doesn't chew the cord. This works perfectly. I can also put my Walkman on top of the headphones and still have room to close the case without damage to either item.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for HD600
Fit's my HD600 perfectly.
5.0 out of 5 stars Protects HD 8xx
It does the job. Now it's a very cheap case in terms of quality, as it is literally just a generic zipper case with a foam insert. But hey, it protects my expensive headphones and it was only like $30, so I can't really complain. It does come with a nice cable pouch though.
Good quality
Pleased with this purchase. Holds my Sennheiser HD 800 Phones well
Buena calidad y resistente
Solid study case, but slightly too big.
This is a great case to store headphones of larger size such as the Sennheiser HD 800.The only downside I can think of is that it is slightly too large as even the HD 800 has plenty of space to spare.
Cuffie realmente protette
