So my cheap nail polish collection is not the most durable. This stuff makes my garbage polishes last 3x longer. PLUS I have really dry, flaky, peely nails. And this stuff really helps seal in my nails so they're less breaky. I bought one and then bought a second one to keep at work. And then bought another one to send to a friend. Like.... Buy this.

Manicure is 5 days old, on day 3 of being in the pool all day and it's just starting to show wear. Best top coat out there. Takes forever to dry after application which is probably why it is so effective.

EDIT:Upped the rating a bit because I’ve been using this under an additional different top coat and it really prevents chipping. It’s just not good at all on its own.Original(I bought the ‘no chips ahead’ top coat. It’s too thin, AND makes bubbles ruining any chance of a smooth finish. On top of that, it does not cure. I let my nails dry for 4+ hours, ran them under cold water etc, and still the next day woke up to impressions and lines.)

Hands down the best top coat I’ve ever used! I rarely paint my nails because after doing the dishes or taking a shower they will normally chip. I used the top coat a few days ago and my manicure is still looking fresh and chip-free! It’s smaller than I would hope for especially for the price, but worth it.

It stays tacky for days and my nails end up with impressions and wrinkles in them. It shrinks back from the edges and then chips. Don’t waste time and money on this top coat; you are better off without one.

Smeared polish underneath, didn't extend life of polish
I'm not impressed with this product. When applying it to the polish, it made the polish start to streak and, as far as I could tell, didn't extend the life of the nail polish itself. It may work with other polish but it didn't work with the products I have.
Essie, what happened?
First off I want to say I'm a fan of Essie products and have loved many other top coats from them. I do not understand how this particular one could have been released to the public as it is. I'm not a novice when it comes to going my nails - this definitely was not user error. This top coat would not dry for nothing. I tried using a dryer for 15mins and it was still tacky. I decided to just sit still and let it set - in three hours it was finally not tacky anymore. I was able to go to bed. I woke up to my sheets stuck to my nails and my beautiful shiny manicure dulled with creases in my nails. Had to go to work like this with no time to fix it. Of course, this product is ineligible for returns so this was a $10 mistake. People's time and money has become so precious - save both and don't buy this. Stick to the Good to Go top coat. I believe it is their best formula. I regret straying.

Works better than others. Nail polish lasts without chipping about 4-5 days, however this top coat takes a long time to dry properly.
