I originally bought these many years ago. Over the years I’ve had some chip, which is to be expected with a ceramic. I was so excited to find that I could still buy them. I absolutely love these dishes. The colors are vibrant and the pattern is amazing. I dreaded the thought of having to find new dishes and finding these was like, a major win. I am going to order another box just to put in my China cabinet in case anything breaks in the future. They were extremely well packaged nothing was wrong when I opened the package. They were all in perfect condition. I also bought the pasta bowls, which are a fabulous addition to my collection, I hope you buy and enjoy these for many years to come.

Bought these dishes in 2023, and while reading the reviews of others saw that someone said that they chipped very easily. almost didn’t buy them because of that but I loved how they looked and decided to take a chance. They have been absolutely wonderful, I love them and get lots of compliments on them. And I’ve had them now for a couple years and I haven’t even had one chip. So don’t let that scare you away from buying these lovely dishes.

**2 years later, an update**So this is a first for me - 2 years after purchase but I’m literally using our sole “chipped” cup & was jazzed enough that I felt compelled to update my review bc I wholeheartedly support this store/brand/seller/product. My cup is also full of gin & fruity bits but I didn’t have to tell you that!I find so much crap on Bolo that I don’t trust - do you know how many items have obviously mis-sized photoshopping & the seller doesn’t even care??? Pfffz. I have 2 teenagers who *still* just throw my cast iron pots & pans literally ON TOP of these plates & mugs (they balance a heavy pot on them in the sink like jerks) - nothing. I no longer panic about this. Heavier things in life to worry about. The mugs are a little chunky (but great for gin & water!); we have one bowl that has had a small chip on it for 2 years (also - still - holds a pile of skillets/pans/plates/cups/silver on it). The plates are a hit, they still make everyone happy. Feels like everyone’s a lot more pleasant & behaved when we use them. Haven’t lost a single piece, nothing has actually broken & literally there is one bowl that has been chipped for 2 years - with a small chip - and a mug that has a tiny nick that literally no one else but me notices.TLDR/ as far as dishware goes, you’d be an idiot to turn these down :)Original Post***Loved them so much, I bought a second set in case something happens over time. My new favourite plate set. I’m picky about thickness & art detail...oftentimes complicated designs are gaudy or halfassed. This set is even more beautiful in person. We use them daily, they go in the microwave, dishwasher, the kids pile pots, pans and all sorts of heavy dishware on them inside the sink - I'm always anxious they’ll break, but luck has held out & I still have a full set. The artwork is very well designed, the overlaying glaze isn’t thick and gross, it’s just perfect. One bowl has a tiny chip (kids) and we still use it. Breakable of course but I’m amazed how well they’ve held up against my teens. I’m not in love with the mugs, they’re thicker than I’d like, but I bought the set for the plates and bowls. Rarely do I find joy in material objects (or leave reviews) but I really do enjoy this set. Def an investment I’m happy to have made.

I first saw this dinnerware at Costco and bought 3 boxes, so service for 12. After getting them all washed and replacing my previous dinnerware which was service for 20,( and I was able to donate it), I regretted not getting another set so I would have service for 16.I looked on Bolo and found 18th Avenue Online and ordered another set from them. I was really hoping everything got here in one piece. I needn't have worried about that, I have never ordered anything that came so well packed! The plates came in one box with separators between each plate, as did each of the other parts. They were all snuggly in a box, which was in another box, which was in an Bolo box.This dinnerware is so bright and sturdy and reminds me of our times in Spain. I love that it comes with mugs, not cups and saucers. I also love that the smaller plate is really a nice size lunch or salad plate, and that the bowl is a really good soup bowl not the flat type bowl like I had previously. So glad I found 18th Avenue online!+Edit - I am so surprised by the negative reviews. We use these in the microwave, wash in the dishwasher, they are used every day and I really love them.

Husband didnt like the look so i waited for two months before deciding to try them figuring i could send them back if he refused to warm up to them. He won't admit it but likes them alot. I bought three sets of these plus the pasta bowls. Love love love the pasta bowls. The cups are most surprising. I didnt think I'd like them since the shape is rather different. But turned out to be fun to drink coffee and tea in. Husband loves the size of them. The entire set is gorgeous and a couple weeks later seem to be holding up to normal wear and tear. No cracks or chips yet. A few pieces have a tiny defect but just not enough to send the whole set back. Serving for 12 plus the pasta bowls for $250.00 is a reasonable price for the quality and quantity. I am taking off a point because they claim to be microwave safe but the plates and bowls get extremely hot after 3 minutes in the microwave and need a potholder to remove. Was almost a deal breaker for me but they are just so beautiful I can't return them.
