5.0 out of 5 stars It works if you like crushed ice.
It is a little hard when you first start but then when you get the hang of it, its great.
5.0 out of 5 stars Manual ice crusher
Like that you can do 2 sizes of crushed ice
4.0 out of 5 stars Lighter, plastic, manual ice crusher gets the job done, less desirable than its predecessors
This new lightweight manual ice crusher is virtually identical in dimensions and concept to the heavier metal one I bought at the big 6th Ave flea market about 20-something years ago when I lived in Chelsea. I thought maybe the aging metal tines would break off after years of use - or the white enamel on top section would scrape and fall into the crushed ice. But to the point: the new one is almost all plastic. That would include the top and bottom shells, etc. - fortunately the actual crushing mechanism IS metal. But the new one has little torque, little resistance to bouncing around as one crushes ice to either fine or coarse and a generally lighter, less secure feel. But I can't tell the difference in ice, as deposited into my Dewar's. If you can't find a genuine earlier one, as in prehistorical, non-electric small appliances, then this "new" one will do the job. Best for bicep gifted hand crankers. Cheers!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for fancy drinks like Margarita. No wasted extra ice bag.
Two grades of crushed ice. a few quick cranks and you have the just right amount of ice add the liquid fancy umbrella a slice of lime, and wink for a tip.
1.0 out of 5 stars This is mostly junk
I had high hopes for this. I was replacing a hand cranked ice crusher from the 1960s. It too was a plastic/metal combo. This is nothing close. After 1 day the axel of the device got rusty and makes the crushed ice brown. If I have enough tequila sunrises this doesn't bother me, but when sober it is disturbing. Only after three uses the hand cranker connected to said axel has become disengaged and is slipping on each crank. Mind you, this is just used in my home, we are not a bar. It basically worked the first day I got it--with just 2 crushing sessions. It's junk. I would avoid
5.0 out of 5 stars This ice crusher is great...
Seriously i dont know how i did without this for so long...i was actually thinking of replacing my ice machine with one of those ice crushing ones till i saw the $400-$500 price tag...this thing chops through ice with ease and makes two sizes depending on which way you turn the handle...the ice bucket is very sturdy comparable to tupperware...i was so impressed i bought another for a gift...i would definitely recommend this...
3.0 out of 5 stars Not quick or easy but it works
Ultimately, it works. However, it's hard to keep the top on and the unit balanced upright while cranking the handle. It doesn't "catch" all the ice in the blade compartment, so you have to overstuff the top and will have some waste. It makes enough ice for ~2-3 drinks, depending on the size of your glass.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works good
You have to put a little work into it, but it does the job nicely. We like the crushed ice that it produces.
BUEN PRODUCTO

Best manual Ice crusher
We bought one of these years ago and it is still going strong so we got this one for the cottage. Really perfect for crushed ice.

Tongs work great for ice
Not for me
Easy to use however one of the screws inside the compartment rusted therefore made the device unusable
