Magnets are strong and appear to be great quality. The outside shield is not magnetic at all but when you stick the exposed magnet to a metal surface it takes a good strong pull to get it off. They are a good size, about the diameter of a silver dollar and about a quarter inch thick. The hole in the middle is not quite big enough for a 1/4 bolt but the 10/32 fits just fine.

Worked great for the project I was working on - a bottle opener that has magnet attached to the back that will catch the bottle caps before they fall. However, these are NOT as strong as they were made to seem. I had to use all of them to have the desired effect.

Believe it or not, these things are great for cooks.There is a cooking item called a "Melting Dome" or "Basting Dome" which is just a dome with a handle on top that you put over your food items on a grill, griddle, or pan to help heat food from the top. It is like one more thing to "have" in your cooking repertoire that takes up space the whole time you are not using it.Pair these inexpensive magnets with a stainless steel screw, a wooden knob (cost me about a quarter at a craft store), and a washer. See the pic. The finished item is in the back, the unassembled parts, and a quarter in the front for size reference. Keep a few in with your cooking stuff. When you need a Dome cover, just click it onto a stainless steel mixing bowl of the appropriate size and proceed. Need a really big cover on a griddle? Use a disposable aluminum hotel pan and put the washer on the opposite side of the aluminum pan to hold it. These are also handy for helping with camp cookouts too.Done cooking? Pull off the magnet (and washer) clean the bowl and put it back in with your mixing bowls, no new item to store in your already full cabinets.Make a few extra because your barbecue buddies will want one.

After having the ductwork cleaned professionally in our house one of the technicians suggested we put dryer sheets over the cold air return as kind of a prefilter to catch any stray pet hair so we tried this but unfortunately tape doesn't stick very well to dryer sheets so I purchased these magnets and they hold the dryer sheets perfectly much better than tape. The magnets are strong so we have to leave the edge of the magnet over the edge of the vent to have something to grab onto to pull it off when we change these dryer sheets.

My favourite use for these magnets is for the refrigerator. I add a simple knob to the top and bingo, I'm done.these things are strong, without a knob you would struggle to take them off. I have also used them for magnetic cabinet latches. a bit too powerful for that application.

Used these on the inside of my baby food containers. I converted the jars to hold all my seasonings and to mount on a magnetic board. These are great. It works perfectly. The jars are the standard 4 oz baby food glass jars. Because it's magnetic, didn't have to glue it on the caps either. Would recommend.

These magnets were a huge disappointment.They are, apparently, "strong magnets".So strong that it is nearly impossible to get them off of my fridge, except by sliding them off the edge of the door! With great force!I am sure that the steel cups would, very soon, scratch the paint off of the door of my refrigerator.I found a use for one of them to bolster a sad, old magnet on a picture frame. I do not know what I will do with the other 9....
