5.0 out of 5 stars 😤😤😤😤........after using these
Its not what you think.......thats just an emoji of me breathing hard after using these in a workout lol. These things......are amazing! I was looking for a light mitt with cover thumbs to work on combinations and speed in my boxing workouts and these hit the nail on the head. Really light padding on the knuckles and fingers but add virtually no weight. I have a fight camp heavy bag (loaded to 350 pds) and I can BANG that thing without any pain. Sn i have been boxing for years so technique isnt an issue. I wouldnt suggest these to beginners who are establishing proper form. There is no wrist protection at all. So if you hit the bag wrong.......your wrist with disintegrate into dust. Anyway happy hitting!
4.0 out of 5 stars Good for bag work
These are pretty good. You get some protection, but you can also feel your knuckle alignment when you strike. The grip bar is foam and that's fine for me. The stitching is well done. I wish they were leather, but they work.
5.0 out of 5 stars Solid! Says leather but I'm not sure.
Solid. It says leather but i think pleather... Either way it's got the metal bar in the mitt which is what I was looking for!!
3.0 out of 5 stars Good for light bag work.
These are a great classic tool for bag work. A lot of modern fighters learn to hit harder than their hands can tolerate because they practice with enormous bricks of padding on their hands. In the ol' days a boxer's hands were more durable, but they also learned how to make cleaner connections with their strikes.Basically they wore simple leather mittens. Like other fighters, I wanted to follow a bit of the tried and true tradition. These sorts of bag gloves are pretty rare nowadays, since most of the glove market is for cardio kickboxing. I was excited to find a pair from a decent brand(my sparring gloves are RtC as well). However, these specific gloves are NOT durable enough for hard contact. Mine started tearing through the stitching after about 5 weeks of daily work. No heavy bags, no striking shield, no aqua bag.I'd recommend them as a nice to have for light striking. It's nice to have something you can slip on to work the speed and double end bags without worrying about scraping some skin off from a weird connection. Do not expect to use them on any bags not filled with air because these only look like those other gloves. Light mittwork is probably ok for them.
5.0 out of 5 stars They're just what I was looking for.
Was looking to replace my old school Everlast bag gloves that you really couldn't even call a glove by definition anymore.... Couldn't find anything, seems like all anyone is making are the MMA fingerless ones with a bunch of padding... Not what I was looking for. But came across these, they're perfect... Nothing fancy regular leather bag gloves!! Perfect!
2.0 out of 5 stars Didn't last very long before the insides started coming out.
Bought this for my son to work the double end bag, and it began coming apart in about a month. Definitely not made like the old Century bag gloves.
5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommend!
Great for workouts on the speed bag and double ended bag! Excellent quality!
