About this item:
The Tramontina 1.5-Quart Tri-Ply Clad Stainless Steel Covered Sauce Pan features tri-ply construction with an aluminum core between two layers of stainless steel, providing even heat distribution and reducing hot spots. Perfect for small-batch cooking, it’s ideal for preparing sauces, soups, or boiling eggs. Made without PTFE or PFAS, it ensures safe, clean cooking with an easy-release surface. The stainless steel lid locks in heat and moisture, while the riveted handle offers a secure, comfortable grip. Its mirror-polished exterior adds a professional touch, making it great for both cooking and serving. 5.0 out of 5 stars Performance and practicality: tips, considerations, and details of a well-made saucepan
This saucepan, constructed with tri-ply clad stainless steel at 2.77 mm thickness, is well made and performs admirably on all cooktops. The inside texture is fairly smooth—not quite as slick as my 3 QT Misen saucier, but comparable to most premium cookware. Made in Brazil, it sits perfectly flat on my induction cooktop and boasts a very shiny exterior. Some users have shared images of discoloration or staining. However, this is easily remedied by using the scrubber side of a non-scratch sponge and a few sprinkles of Barkeeper's Friend powder. Don't be discouraged by those images; it cleans up to its original shine in just a minute, even with stubborn stains. The handle is well balanced, providing a comfortable grip during use, and the lid fits securely. This pan is taller and more narrow than some alternatives (see photos for measurements), which proves beneficial on a crowded cooktop with wide saute and frying pans going, but may be less convenient for stirring sauces or if you were going to have just one saucepan. In that case, get a saucier style pan. For my needs, this 1.5 QT saucepan works well for reheating leftovers or preparing small quantities alongside other dishes, thanks to its well-designed ratio and rounded inside corners. While I prefer cookware without rivets for easier cleaning and scraping with a rubber spatula, reputable brands using this handle connection style (Demeyere Industry/Atlantis; Fissler Original-Profi) are priced well above $100 each. For a buy-it-for-life complete set, this might be a crucial consideration for the more important pans.I'd recommend this saucepan. It's hard to beat anywhere close to this price point.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great size, long handle, cleans well
I love it. The slightly longer handle keeps it away from heat. Its the perfect size for single servings. We have similar pans slightly larger. I would buy any of their pans....great value and top quality
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for instant ramen
Like my other Tramontina pot - quality fit and finish. Lid fits tight and whole thing is shiny and easy to clean. I have a 3-qt pot already, but needed a smaller one for only purpose. Our cat rules the house and often gets us up between 3:30 and 4 am. I'm sitting there with a cup of coffee, too late to go back to bed. Got an induction plate in the garage, and an old 55" tv. Need ramen. Other pot is too big. This 1.5qt is the perfect sized one for instant ramen. Hot water in 90 seconds. 3 minute cook. I'm done in say 10 min total, and only one pot. Gotta say the handle is crazy long, but it remains cool to the touch even with boiling liquid in the pot. Darned cat should have bought this for me...LOL.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect little saucepan.
I bought the set of cookware when I got a new home and was very pleased with it except for the lack of a small saucepan for, well, sauces.Low and behold I spotted this little jewel and the rest is bearnaise. Matches perfectly and fantastic weight and quality.I'm going to order another because I'm just cooking for myself usually and bigger pans are overkill.
5.0 out of 5 stars Well made.
Nice looking pot that heats fairly evenly. Handle is a little long but serves its purpose as it doesn't get hot. The lid is solid metal but I'm fine with that. Overall nice quality for the price.
4.0 out of 5 stars For the price, these are probably some of the best sauce pans I have ever had.
I am not a youngun, and I have done a fair amount of cooking, also I have had some high end stainless cookware. I was looking for some small sauce pans to replace some old cheap stuff we had laying around the house for years. I tried all of the big high end name brands and couldn't find what I was looking for and then saw a review for these somewhere. I ended up buying all 3 of the smaller sauce pans from Tramontina. They are of a decent weight, not too heavy not too light (I would prefer a little more weight in the bottoms) but still not bad. The price is really good and the pans seem to cook pretty well. I wish that they were made as a set as at least 2 of the sauce pans are of a size that if it was thought ahead could have been made to share a lid, either the 2 larger ones or the 2 smaller ones, but as it is you need 3 lids which just takes up more space. All in all I like these sauce pans and for the price I don't think you can beat the quality
5.0 out of 5 stars Actually works on induction stove
Nice weight pot that actually works on my induction stove, not too heavy but not perceived as cheaply made. Checked it out with water in the pot. Needed smaller pots as my current smaller stainless-steel pot did not work with the induction stove. Ordering a second one so that I have options when cooking. Would recommend
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic small saucepan
This saucepan is the perfect size and shape for a variety of tasks. I love using it to make oatmeal for one, cook rice or beans, or create a cream sauce. Its narrow body makes it perform just as well when you're working with a pint of liquid as when you're making use of the full quart and a half volume. The build quality is fantastic, with well-polished thick steel forming the cooking surface, a handle that stays cool while cooking, and the cutest perfectly fitting lid.All of my other small saucepans are now obsolete. I use this one instead.
Qualité et à un prix très raisonnable
Nous sommes tout à fait satisfait de l'achat. Nous le recommandons. L'eau est rapidement à bouillir. Un sans faute esthétique.
