5.0 out of 5 stars Works well
This product was easy to use and easy to read. It was great to learn that I am O- without having to go to the doctor’s to have them test it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Reading is fundamental!
The video link is best for some who don't like to read. The process was great but I will recommend a person assisting with the blood collection. It was hard having blood running down my hand while trying to collect the samples. I confirm my type with my mother after I received my results. So now that I know my type, I'm doing research to see what's the best diet and habits. But most of all follow the instructions with the time sets and have a band-aid ready.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great blood-typing kit!
We decided to do this as a family science and informative activity. The instructions were easy to follow, all supplies present, and the results easy to read. We, of course, won't be using as anything official, but nice to have an idea of blood type for general knowledge.

My husband bought this to see what blood types our children were! I already knew mine so I tested first to see if it was accurate and it was! It was super quick and easy to do! Quite a few family members ordered once we told them about it!
4.0 out of 5 stars Great...but be careful on that water drop placement. The instructions could be clearer.
Worked great. I bought the 3 pack. It took about 8 mins to do the typing. I knew my type already. I wanted to verify it with these cards before using it on my son. I used filtered tap water for the one drop of water. NOW, had the instructions seemed clearer on this water drop, like maybe with a picture, I would have given this 5 stars. However, CAREFULLY read the instruction. It says to put it in the center. NO. You put the drop of water OUTSIDE the center ring(the reagent ring). Not directly in the center. There's the big ring...and a smaller ring inside. If you put the water drop between the outside ring and the inside ring, you should be good. Almost immediately, I knew my blood type. I just matched up the card with the picture of the instruction booklet. Bam! Done. It takes a while to completely dry. So, keep that in mind. Once you swirl the blood drop with the water...getting all the reagent ring dissolved, you pretty much can see if it coagulates. The finger prick was very anti-climactic. I'm a big baby when it comes to needles, too. I did it on the side of my ring finger...then held my hand down for 10 seconds. Blood came...I squeezed enough out...and then it healed up quickly.
5.0 out of 5 stars Super easy
Worked perfectly and accurately. Super easy. My children did it no problem.
3.0 out of 5 stars Revised Review
I have to revise my review. I did the test twice with the first set I ordered and both results showed that my results were O Negative. I ordered a second set of tests so that my aunt and mother could test themselves to be sure of their B+ result. They haven't tested themselves yet. Since there was an extra kit and I'd already poked myself twice I decided to test myself a third time since this is a different batch. This time my result was O Positive. So I'm questioning the authenticity of these tests. Maybe one was a faulty batch? But if I'm O Negative and say I'm O Positive and am given + blood it will kill me if I'm actually -, so I'm thinking now I would rather go to someone official and get my blood tested, as this has given me two completely different results.Below is my original review:I had been told my blood type was O Positive my entire life only to learn recently that my mother apparently guessed my blood type, so I ordered the kit. I did one, and didn't have any clotting so that means it's O Negative. My aunt, who is my mom's twin sister, was with me and immediately was fascinated and she started wondering if her blood type was correct. So she took the second test, which came up to be B Positive, which she'd always assumed she was O Positive like my mom had. This made me a little wary of the results of the test, so I did mine a second time and got the same exact results, so I'm going to assume that it's accurate. I'm ordering a second set though to double check my aunt's, my mom's, and then my own once more just to make sure it's consistent.I do NOT like needles at all and it took me several minutes of panic to finally brave up and use the lancet. Then it didn't, and you have to really push hard to get it to go. Make sure the water dissolves the little circles on the pad as those are the antigens that'll clot the blood and show you your type and note you do NOT need a lot of water or blood to make it work.Quick, easy, and fascinating.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, educational, and accurate!
When I realized that my husband didn't know his blood type and neither of us knew our daughter's, I remembered doing a similar test back in Biology class and knew we had to do it at home! The 3 pack arrives as 3 individual tests with everything shown. I highly recommend reading through the directions 2 or 3 times to make sure you understand all of the steps. It is very important that you follow each step in order, and that you make sure the finger you are pricking is warm! A cold digit will not produce well. As a former phlebotomist I knew this was vital. You also have to make sure you hold the test sheet up and down, left and right, as the directions state (though we had to keep them tilted quite a bit more than the directions showed to keep the blood from running out of the circles). My husband forgot this step and we were confused with the results until I realized the mistake, and we were luckily still able to tilt it and get a result. We did my test first since I already knew my type, just in case we made a mistake, and it came out perfectly. I was able to do my own, but I did help my 9 year-old. I did the finger prick and I squeezed her finger for her while she collected the blood and mixed it into the circles. She did a great job and I think hers is a perfect age for something like this. We had no troubles with the lancets at all. Again, making sure your finger is warm (and choosing an area of a finger that is callous-free) is the real key to getting a large enough sample.
