5.0 out of 5 stars Great polymer clay
I’ve used this clay for years. FYI; Make sure your work area is spotless as the clay is like a magnet. It will pick up the tiniest spect of dust. Wash your hands before you start. Plus every now & then. Once you got it soft enough to sculpt with it have a clean paper towel to lay your work on. The heat from your hand will cause it to get way to soft & start to stretch. This is not a bad thing about the Sclupey. All polymer clays do the same thing.Buy a small toaster oven with a tempeture setting on it pls a oven thermometer. This way you can test to make sure the tempeture is right. Work in thin layers and let it cool before touching.Tinfoil makes a good armature plus you use less clay & it bakes all the through. Don’t use styrofoam it will expand and crack when baking with your clay on it & use glass eyes or sculpt your own.don’t over bake or use you house oven.Because of fumes from the clay that you don’t want in your food.
5.0 out of 5 stars Just like the Sculpey I used 20+ years ago
I bought this for a project and ended up having so much fun, I bought more. Easy to manipulate, even easier when you have tools! Bake for 10 min and its hard! You can sand it, paint it, put it in epoxy after sealing it. This stuff is great! Will be buying more!
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use, works as stated
Needed this for a group craft project, and everyone found it easy to use. Baked it in the oven as directed. Needed to give it another 10 minutes and then turned off the oven. Kept them in till the oven cooled. Found that worked best.
5.0 out of 5 stars KIDS! Snacks are on dish in fridge, not oven!
It's a great medium for creative use and it's "non-toxic!"
5.0 out of 5 stars Good clay, decent price, quick shipping
This is my go-to studio clay, but just when I was running low it started getting hard to find locally. Supply chain issues, maybe? You guys saved the day with my large batch of Original Sculpey, gave me a good price, and got it into my hands in a jiffy. A zillion thanks!
4.0 out of 5 stars Can be tricky and crumbles easily
Been using this clay for a good five years now. It does leave a big of a coat on your hands that’s a little hard to wash off, and crumbles if you’re not quick enough with sculpting, but other that that it’s pretty good. A bit pricey but still good.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great crafts project for aunt + nieces and nephews
Sculpey is great. It doesn't dry out. When you are finished working with it you can bake it to make it permanent. It was good for kids from 6-12. The white color is nice and takes marker. The only drawback is that when you take it from the package it's a little stiff, so I warmed up balls in my hand and then handed them out.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worked great
Made some night lights using a DIY from Hallmark Home & Family. I used a round cookie cutter for the base and an Owl cookie cutter from a set I bought on Bolo. I had to cut the feet off but it still looked great. I used my thumb on one owl, then found a button with a protruding front to make the area around the eyes. Then used a straw to poke a hole in each eye. I used a larger straw, cut in 1", then sliced and folded. I pressed in rows on the front to look like feathers, then used a toothpick on alternating ones and poked holes around the bottom of those feathers. If I were to do it again, I would do it to all the feathers to let in more light.
