The Klipsch R-12SW Subwoofer is a fantastic addition to my audio setup and a worthy successor to the Klipsch subwoofer it replaced, which lasted me over 15 years. I’ve been a huge fan of Klipsch speakers since I first discovered them in the mid-90s, and when it came time for a replacement, there was no question I’d stick with the brand.While I wouldn’t call myself an audiophile, I can confidently say the quality of this subwoofer is exceptional, especially for its price. The advancements in technology over the past decade are immediately noticeable. The bass tones are clear, precise, and powerful without the muddiness I’ve experienced with other non-Klipsch subwoofers in the past.The build quality of the R-12SW is also top-notch. The sturdy, well-constructed box plays a significant role in delivering clean and resonant bass. Whether watching movies or listening to music, this subwoofer performs exceptionally well across various sound profiles.Klipsch continues to deliver on its reputation for high-quality audio equipment. This thing is awesome. I made a big mistake when I traded away my old Boston Acoustics XB6 subwoofer a few years ago. I purchased an Onkyo 7.1 speaker set and was using just the sub that came with it... it did okay, but bottomed out very easily. I finally decided it needed to be replaced, so I went with this Klipsch based on reviews I read here. It arrived well within the stated delivery window, and was up and running in less than 5 minutes. Let me tell you, this thing goes loud and deep. It shakes the walls! You know that scene in Game of Thrones where they blow up all of the ships? I thought it was going to wake the neighborhood! There's virtually no break-in period. It sounded great from the first minute. It's aesthetically pleasing, too. The veneer almost looks like black brushed aluminum, and the golden cone is nice to look at. And the cost is less than my old Boston that I had missed so much. Worth the buy! Go for it!Update 9/24/16: Well, after three months of normal use, the driver developed a rattle. It sounded like wires slapping the inside of the box,so I took the driver out, taped down any loose wires I saw, and plugged it back in. Still rattled. It was the driver itself. It still put out plenty of bass, but that rattle was annoying. I contacted the seller, and they basically said, sorry. Can't help. Window is closed. Contact the manufacturer. I asked if they were an authorized Klipsch dealer (because Klipsch's website says they only warranty items bought from authorized dealers) and got no answer. So I contacted Klipsch. They said nope, we won't honor the warranty because Bubba Goo Goods is not an authorized Klipsch dealer, and we can't vouch for them or their equipment. But, they did sell me a replacement woofer for $84. Three business days later, it arrived and I installed it. Rattle is fixed. Just wanted people to be warned. Bolo pricing is great, and we take advantage of the deals, but buyer beware. Bolo can be like the TJ Maxx of the internet. The prices are lower for a reason.Update 5/2/18: The replacement driver I purchased directly from Klipsch is still going strong. I haven't had another issue with the sub or any of its components since the rattle incident. I am still very pleased with this sub.

5.0 out of 5 stars Deep, Clean Bass That Sounds Great
I've been rocking with the Klipsch R-12SW, and it's truly something special. This subwoofer does a fantastic job capturing the lows, providing a solid foundation for any track. However, when I first got it, I noticed it wasn't quite as aggressive in terms of excursion and rumble as I'd hoped for, especially with rap and hip-hop beats which demand that deep, punchy bass. But, after giving it some time to break in, the sound quality has really grown on me. It's clean bass.I've got this sub paired with a couple of Klipsch R-41M speakers and hooked them up to my PC using a Fosi Audio BT30D Pro receiver. Size-wise, it's a bit bigger than I expected, which was actually a pleasant surprise. I'm super happy with how everything sounds now, but I can see myself looking for a sub with more aggressive excursion down the line for those heavy hip-hop tracks. Still, this subwoofer is sick for its clean bass and overall performance!

10/24/2024 2423 Hours EGMT ...since Childhood, I've always loved experimenting---first in My-Mind, then into physical actuality. This time, pairing the Klipsch R12SW with a less powerful Subwoofer (that I already owned), both connected to a "ROLLS" 12 volt Stereo Subwoofer Crossover; setting each Subwoofer rear controls to a fixed level slightly less than each's Gain Maximum (nearly 1/2 less on the Klipsch R12SW), & making listening adjustments via/on/with the "ROLLS". One is thru Left Channel, the other Right Channel, & the results ARE wonderfully STUNNING🤣🤣😉! Watching Movies or TV, fixed or Streaming, it's as THOUGH I'm in a Lucasfilm Sound Stage. Independent Bass firing subtly from the right area, then the left area (simultaneously---if recorded that way) depending on which side the Sound was matched with the Picture, or subsequently if matching dual Channels. For Me, it is another well thought out successful result.GBJ😎

Muito forte bate muito
Tá em dúvida compra tá querendo comprar compre pq o produto e top demais muito bom bate muito forte chega que estremece a casa toda. De início vc vai achar muito forte só diminuir o botão de ganho na traseira do sub indico ajustar em filme vai ficar perfeito para músicas tbm porém na dúvida compra e muito bom eo preço vale cada centavo

bonnes basses mais caisses trop juste
J'en utilise deux pour renforcer les basses de mes cabasses , ça fonctionne plutôt bien mais les caisses ne sont pas assez rigides , elles vibrent de partout ce qui fait que le moindre objet que l'on pose dessus tombe . Au vu de la marque je pensais que les boiseries seraient de meilleure qualité , plus épaisses .J'ai du caisson cabasse et il y a aucune vibration de caisse , idem avec du JAMO .les délais de livraison et les emballages sont trés bien , les finitions des caisse sont bien , c'est un caisson imposant !!!
Perfect match with the Fives, and great value
After I have used The Fives for a few years, I recently added this subwoofer to them and I am very pleased. The Klipsch connect app helps greatly in fine tuning the sub to the speakers. Sound quality has improved even greater as LFE connection frees the speakers to mid and high end frequencies and route the bass to the sub. The sound from the sub is deep and rich, it is a very powerful sub, I usually find myself using very little gain. Dynamic Base feature on the app is very good, at night i turn it off to not get complaints from the neighbors. It is a plug and play unit, there is no special set up required. As an additional bonus, it is a very stylish sub, especially when the front cover is detached, it has a very sleek and modern look. If you have any specific questions before considering buying this unit, do not hesitate to reach out to me and I will do my best to answer. I would say one of the best subs as far as price vs value out there.
