I'm so happy to discover Hormel Compleats! Truthfully, and contrary to my headline, this spaghetti isn't QUITE better than homemade in terms of flavor. However, it takes 60 seconds in your microwave to prepare, and it's saucy and beautifully seasoned! Hormel makes a nice variety of main dishes, which come in cases of 6 or so, and so far I've enjoyed all of them. Some of my favorites are sold on Bolo for approx. $13+ for a box of 6. That's only $2 and change per serving! This old lady is happy to let Hormel make me some almost-homemade food that's ready in a minute!

This is my (very close second) favorite Hormel Compleats, and I guess for a lot of other people like it too, because I can never find it at the supermarket. But Bolo has them at a reasonable price, so I bought a case. Pasta is not quite firm, but not mushy like canned pasta can be. To me, the texture is just right. The meat sauce is good, but I add a pinch of sugar to cut the acidity to it. (My personal preference). Pair this with some garlic bread and a side garden salad with Italian dressing, and you have a nice meal. I just wish Hormel would bring back the Mac and Cheese Compleats, that was the bomb, and my #1 favorite. However, the spaghetti and meat sauce is my very close second favorite.

I DO like the ease of eating and the underlying bland flavor. I'm not a spice nut but this can use some salt or (I add) Cajun seasoning - not a bunch but enough to bring some more taste from something that could approach elementary-school paste without some flavoring added.I will buy again but will make sure I have some salt/Cajun seasoning/pepper/chicken seasoning available. Edible without, just not flavor-able. Perhaps by design for the elderly.

Mushy and sour. This made me questioned whose idea it was to use this recipe? Also, have they even tasted their own product? Never again. Bought 6 in a box, and have to throw them away. Too awful to even give to anyone. I’m too embarrassed to tell my husband that I bought 6 on a first try. Let’s agree to go on our separate ways with this one.
