Our water tastes horrid. This water filter pitcher works wonders filtering contaminants and makes our water tasteless as it should be.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Rated in Consumer Reports, East to Use, Water Tastes Very Good

    M.T. · November 10, 2018

Read good reviews about the pitcher in Consumer Reports at my local public library. Removes all sorts of contaminants. Micron filter. Chlorine out, yada yada yada. It's improved since CR reviewed it, now there is no "umbilical cord." Very easy to use. I ordered an extra filter but the pitcher DID come with one filter, always a plus.I used to use PUR attached to the faucet for many, many years but their new design does not fit my faucet even after multiple trips to a hardware store and too much time calling PUR customer service for adapters. Total bummer. It doesn't take long to fill the Clear20 pitcher (it's slower at first until you run water through it a few times). I keep a glass pitcher full of filtered water so we always have extra. Looks good, doesn't take up too much room, about 3 inches wide.My only complaint it it is a little bit of a challenge to reattach the lid to the bottom part of the pitcher, after you remove the filter, it sort of gets misaligned, you have to tap it a few times. But that only needs to be done when you change the filter after 60 gallons have been filtered. Most times you just have to move the top flap (like in the photo).Would definitely buy again, and will tell my friends to buy this pitcher.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than Culligan

    J.M. · May 4, 2019

Much better than the Culligan pitcher it’s replacing. The water flavor is fantastic but the filters are slightly harder to install, and a good bit slower. I like the door on the top of the picture rather than having a detachable lid.

5.0 out of 5 stars TASTES IS EVERYTHING

    R. · March 21, 2020

I bought my GRP-200 just before the Coronavirus Quarantine, I'm so happy I lucked out, I don't have to worry about drinking water running out, it is perfect. It functions the way it is designed, slowly filters the tap water, trapping all contaminants, and the resulting taste is a pleasure, I enjoy mine refrigerated.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great pitcher but hard to find/expensive replacement filters

    N.M. · October 6, 2024

I bought this in November 2023 (11 months ago) and it works perfectly, but there’s a *big* catch. Now that I need a replacement filter I’m finding that they are a pain to find and super expensive. They currently aren’t available on this platform yet can be purchased on the clear20 site for $10.95 each plus $7.95 shipping…and the replacement filters are also hidden on the website. Because I couldn’t find it on the clear20 website the first time around, I tried to buy what i thought was a replacement at HomeDepot so had it shipped to store…only to find that those aren’t compatible. Can you tell I’m frustrated?I gave in to buying two filters only because it’s not clear if this company is on top of the supply/demand equation when it comes to filters and I don’t want to go through this again a year from now, plus I’ve had bad experiences with Brita pitchers and Pur systems. The one positive thing is that despite drinking A LOT of water in my household, the one filter lasted 11 months which is a lot cheaper than the Brita and Pur filters which you have to replace every few months. So, Clear20, if you are reading this, for the sake of keeping customers that want to be loyal, please make it as easy as possible for people to find your advanced gravity water pitcher filters. And lower shipping prices if possible as the price of shipping pretty much costs close to the price of the filter itself…insanity.

1.0 out of 5 stars Another Defective Gravity Pitcher

    C. · March 10, 2023

The following is from an email I just sent to the manufacturer, Clear2O.My partner and I are on our fourth Gravity pitcher. After one year and two months, this one has started leaking at the top of the filter housing, meaning that we are getting unfiltered water dripping into the filtered water enclosure at the bottom of the pitcher. We typically throw it out again and order another one from Bolo, and we did. When the new one arrived yesterday, the lid didn't fit correctly when closed. I don't exactly know if this would disable its working, and this time I don't care, it is going back for a refund.I suspect this one may have been damaged by rough handling in shipping, because it was shipped in the manufacturer's box. There was no padding in the box, and the pitcher fit inside tightly, so if the box had been handled somewhat roughly, the pitcher might have become misaligned. But I know that after a year or two of use it would have become misaligned somehow. And it was the straw that broke the camel's back.I've been a fan of this pitcher for many years, and before that of your faucet-attachment pitcher, because I believe the write-up about how good the filtration is. However, I've always noted the manufacturing is not sturdy enough for its purpose, and in a year or two each pitcher has a physical problem that degrades its use. After spending almost two hundred dollars over the years on Clear2O faucet and gravity pitchers, not to mention the two my partner bought before we started living together, we've finally had enough and I am going to research other brands. You could upgrade the design, the manufacturing process, the sturdiness of the plastic used, or all three, and announce such an upgrade to your users including me at my email address below. Or you could label the upgraded pitcher NEW IMPROVED GRAVITY PITCHER on Bolo, and tell the company to notify all the old users. AND you could extend the warranty to two years. In the meantime, I am not saying Goodbye, but I AM saying a loud So Long.A reply is welcome.

5.0 out of 5 stars Affordable, easy to use, and it produces clean, great tasting water

    A.D. · May 6, 2016

I bought this after reading Consumer Reports' reviews, when I wanted a water filter for bacteria and chlorine. My previous pitcher/filter had been good, but it focused more on things like lead, completely ignoring other issues. This pitcher is easy to set up. The water flows through it rapidly, and it looks nice on my kitchen counter. The low-tech filter alert is very clever, and a fine way to tell when it's time to change the filter. The water tastes very good. It still tastes like water, but without even a hint of chlorine or anything chemical in it. And, knowing that it's filtering most bacteria -- if any were to get into our Florida water -- is peace of mind.

    Extremely Low Speed Performance

    P. · September 19, 2018

Our family has been using the Clear2O GRP200 Pitcher for the past month. The water tastes great, we love it. Unfortunately, after just a week of use it is taking now one our to filter one single water reservoir. According to Clear2O it is related to the possible contaminants from my tap water. We live in the Metro Vancouver area in British Columbia, B.C., Canada, which has one of the best quality water in the world. I still find it hard to believe that the water itself could be the issue. We want to continue to use the pitcher, but its low filtering speed is not working for our family of 4. Has anyone experienced a similar situation?

    Dial does not work

    G. · January 20, 2021

Unfortunately, despite making sure I always closed the lid immediately after filling in order to activate the counter, the counter dial never moved from the green even after 10 weeks of use. I tried to contact the company three times over a 10 day period on their email, but they never even replied. Fortunately, they did say the pitcher filter was normally good for US 50 gallons so I determined our average daily use and concluded that I would reach the US 50 gallons in 75 days. For safety I will be changing the filter at 68 days. Obviously, when we have guests, particularly when the grandkids visit for two weeks, I will have to totally guess when to change the filter.

Filter works great, I'm sure the water is filtered perfectly (as per Consumer Report), I would have gladly paid a few dollars more to have a better pitcher though. This one feel cheap, poorly designed and assembled
