5.0 out of 5 stars Best rabbit cage ever
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } The cage was a little tricky to put together.Overall, it’s long, and wide enough for our two rabbits. The cage panels lift so it’s easy to open for cleaning. I did not use the extra wire panel to separate the “ bathroom “ area.I raised the cage off the ground, and my two rabbits became so alert. They run around the cage and enjoy playing hide and seek. They love the hiding alcove and the water on top of the deck. This is the first time the water bowl is not tipped over by the rabbits, as the bowl has an anchor. The bowl removes easily for cleaning. This cage seemed pricey, however, it’s been the best purchase.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works perfect but a little hard to put together
I got this cage for 2 dwarf rabbits i will be getting. It has plenty of space for them. The only downside is you may need a mallet to have everything for correctly. I had to use one. The little clips I couldn't get on it seems like the didn't fit right so I have zip ties for that but they work just fine. Over all it's a great cage just a little challenge to put it together. Took me 1 & 1/2 hours by myself.
4.0 out of 5 stars It's a cage....a big cage
Okay so as people have stated this is a pain in the @$$ to put together. For whatever reason the base was such a hassle... almost like the pieces don't really fit...not sure but eventually got it. It is flimsy to a degree but most cages are before you get them together. I haven't put it fully together yet because I'm moving soon but not sure how sturdy it will be....glad I have some zip ties lying around cus I'm sure it will need them.....It does come with instructions but if you've ever put a cage together then you will be able to figure it out. I suggest getting help simply because the pieces are so large they will fall before you can properly get them together and plus it just will be really helpful. My cage came cracked which is unfortunate but the crack wasn't too terrible...maybe 2 inches or so so I just cut my loses and threw some heavy glue in/on it.I wouldn't recommend putting the level in the cage unless your pets are small. I had a level in my old cage and my rabbits pushed their heads under it and also it fell a lot..... Just my personal thoughts - could be dangerous. I don't know how well it would be for guinea pigs because the ramp is vertical with very little slope.....The accessories also seem cheaply made...I'd almost just recommend getting other water bottles like the glass ones which will last forever.I don't know I think that about sums it up. This cage is really big which is super nice. Be sure you have the space...if a person couldn't lay in the space comfortably then the cage wont fit there either. It's huge (but the size description will tell you that). Despite it just being a pain in the booty to handle and stuff I'd say it's worth the buy....there's a chance the product will be damaged but that's with anything you order....yep
5.0 out of 5 stars XXL Cage - Detailed Review
I ordered this cage to house my guinea pigs. I have a background in veterinary medicine with exotics and am keenly aware that the majority of cages aren't large enough by far and this was the largest that I seen that was all one level (guinea pigs have spines that are different than most rodents and so wheels, exercise balls, and shelves that they can slip off of are dangerous for them. That isn't an opinion or question, but a factual statement.) so I ordered one.My first statement is this: some cages you have to interpret the instructions because they're unclear and then hope for the best. This isn't one of those cages. Follow the instructions to the letter and you'll get a decent cage. Deviate at all even a little bit and it's not going to be a fun time. If you're lost there are videos on YouTube showing you how step by step. The good:the size is great, I removed the divider to produce the maximum amount of floor area then I bought a large folding table and put the cage atop that in a nondrafty area.Sturdiness when put togetherHeight of bedding skirt to keep shavings or carefresh from falling outThe food bowl and hay lofts fit well and don't spill muchEase of cleaning. Remove your pet, take the top off, use a spatula from the dollar tree that is the "animal spatula" to scrape off any major debris, and go hose off the entire bottom outside. Super easy to clean and very pleased about that aspect. The bottom is ridged to let any pieces fall out.The bad/ could be improved:The little shelf that this comes with to create a partial second layer isn't inherently bad, but the opening is relatively narrow for multiple pigs to go through at once and I'd worry about them bickering or being anxious about going in and out often enough. Removing the ramp piece to simply make it a hide that they don't have their food on top of remedied this. If your animal gets anxious about going in and out then you're going to get a build up of waste and ammonia in the hide itselfThe black plastic wire stabilizers weren't great. I used a bag of zip ties for this instead and just cut the extra off.The water bottle is only good for as long as your guinea pigs don't try to consume the entire bottle like madmen. They can reach to chew on it if they're dedicated, causing leaks. Less of a problem on their part and more just my pigs are possessed. I changed it out for a glass bottle (lixit 26oz) and haven't had further issue. The divider would not work well to temporarily separate pigs even during cleaningThere are multiple doors but the cage feels off kilter if you use any but the main door. The main door is large and let's me reach everything, but the doors could be a bit more secure.Overall, I'm planning on buying a second one and anticipate this one lasting at least +8 years or so. Very pleased and any negative was easily navigatable.
5.0 out of 5 stars Really, Really large!
It's definitely a LARGE cage. Our two guinea pigs have so much space to run and play.As far as assembly goes, the instructions are not very clear, which makes it harder than it should be to put it together. The cage itself is sturdy, however the snap on pieces included are not and break easily. I'll have to use zip ties instead of those. The layout of the cage is really nice. There's a separation the guinea pigs use just for litter, which is a huge help in cleaning. The cage is easy to clean also. I would recommend using litter liners as it definitely helps. It comes with 2 hay feeders , 2 water bottles and a feeding bowl. The hay feeders and water bottles are huge. Theres a small ladder that leads up to the feeding bowl. The incline can be a bit steep. One of our guinea pigs figured it out but the other one can't get up there. Overall it's a good cage for the price. Would recommend.
Muy amplia
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Es una jaula muy amplia y con buen diseño, justo lo que buscaba para mi conejito!!
Amplia y bonita
BROKEN ON ARRIVAL
This cage was broken on arrival and to return it to Bolo US is ridiculous in price. The customer service number doesn’t connect….what to do now after spending $250 on an un-useable item?😓
Amazing cage even after a year
First, I want to say that most cages you buy in stores are usually too small for a rabbit to live in. This cage is spacious enough for my two bunnies (One is a genetic dwarf holland lop, the other a mixed breed roughly the same size- so small bunnies). It wasn't that hard to put together, it does require a bit of force, and like other say it's not fun to separate if the pieces are crooked. I didn't find that happened much though, so I think if you take your time and plan ahead it shouldn't be too bad. The metal seems flimsy, but my buns and cat (separately) have stood on the cage with no collapsing. The down side I've found in the year I've had it is when I had to keep them in their cage (after surgery healing) they chewed the ledges and clips off, and it's really hard to keep the cage closed now, and replacement parts are hard to get.Within the next year I'm hoping to get a new cage, and I want to reorder this exact one again. I really love it!
