5.0 out of 5 stars Delicious and rather addictive
I really like the taste of these, and almost find them addictive. They're a great source of quick protein. Given I'm slow to move in the morning I've frequently been having one for breakfast. I've tried several other protein bars. However, this one has quickly become my favorite. Like the fact that they're gluten-free, have good ingredients, and are filling. Many protein bars are rather mushy/soft-like in texture. I definitely prefer the more solid, yet easy to bite texture of these. The firmer texture makes them somehow feel more nutritious to me.
5.0 out of 5 stars Healthy and tasty
I like the fact that these bars have adequate protein ( 18 grams which works for me), taste great, and have just three ingredients. I typically take protein bars hiking, kayaking and backpacking as well and because of the consistency of these bars, I don’t have to worry about them melting if the weather gets a little warm.
1.0 out of 5 stars Less protein with “new look”
Less quality ingredients disguised with a new wrapper, please consider this review and photos:You get lesser quality ingredients! The “new bars” have less protein, more salt, more sugar, and a higher fat %/DV as add ins, so disappointed RISE has shifted into the propaganda/content shift of processed foods with more addictive ingredients. The bar tasted just fine as it was.Very disappointed with the swap of ingredient content here! When advertising “new look…” companies will change quantities and ingredients, so please look out for you; they will not. While the calories overall remain the same 280, they are now putting in less protein and more sugar/sodium. Vegan protein bars offer 15-18g at this high of calories and a quality animal protein bar should be offering 20-25g at this calorie count. Sugar and sodium are addicting and inexpensive for companies compared to protein. The RISE bars now have more preservative products that are cheaper than protein and yet the bars remain the same if not higher in costs to us, the consumers. These bars do not cost any less with the “new look” however, the manufacture is surely saving money. You now get 2g less protein (20g Vs 18g) and MORE of what we do not need in our diets…sodium is now 40mg Vs 20 (DOUBLE!!) more added sugar, 15g Vs 13g and the fat percentage increased, from 21% DV to 25%. This is a protein bar I have enjoyed for years and now, at the same or higher price you are getting less of the ingredient driving us to PROTEIN bars.
5.0 out of 5 stars Minimal ingredients and great taste
My daughter and I have a lot of food sensitivities, so most protein bars are not suitable for us. The Rise bar has a great flavor and texture with minimal ingredients - all natural and pronounceable. My daughter has had to rely on these for a protein source on a nearly daily basis when on the go and I use them while traveling. We've tried all the flavors, but this one is our favorite.
4.0 out of 5 stars Not the best tasting protein bar, but it's good.
I read about Rise because of their minimum ingredients, which I prefer. Not being sure what they tasted like, I went with the Mocha Almond to ensure some flavor. I was pleasantly surprised that it had a good flavor to it. Not the best, but it was good and considering the minimal ingredients. I would recommend trying them.
3.0 out of 5 stars Inconsistent taste/texture
While these are great bars with a fantastic flavor and no disgusting artificial sweeteners; i must dock a star because the texture and quality varies wildly between shipments. Sometimes these bars are soft and delicious, others they are very dry and hard. I understand that's part of the deal as mentioned on the label.
5.0 out of 5 stars best protein bar
best taste and cleanest protein bar my favorite ...
2.0 out of 5 stars Just eat wax!
I swear I'm not especially picky and I'll admit, I probably experiment and purchase far more "protein" bars than would be considered normal. I'm shocked that these have maintained a 4 star rating. I saw texture referenced a few times and that's putting it mildly. It's like chewing on a ball of wax. It's kinda bizarre that these made it out of testing. I've shared them with everyone I know and it's a consensus, wax, wax, waxy. Flavor is pretty good but nowhere near good enough to compensate for what, if blind folded, would be indistinguishable from good 'ol wax. If you like wax and you like chewing a lot, you've found your bar!
Yummy
Love these bars. Best ever

High Sugar
Everything looks good on the description, but they don't mention it is high in sugar. I felt deceived. The claim all these great things about the bar, but nowhere do they mention the amount of sugar. The only way to know this is to buy the product. I had to give them away. Could not eat that much sugar (but they did taste good).
Very average.
I have only tried two protein bars so far, both highly touted by consumers. The rise bars are terrible. Very little flavour.. like eating putty. The others were garden of Life peanut butter. These are a much better option.... Although slightly more expensive. Surprised there aren't better options out there.
