For its price, this thing is amazing. Having a reusable initial filter saves so much wear on the replaceable one, and it's so much quieter than the germ guardian line and many other air purifiers. The air quality detection works well (I was surprised to hear it ramp up when I was cooking a few rooms away). The only downside is that the LED can't be turned off, so it's not comfortable to keep it on in the bedroom at night.

I love the signals it gives to help you know the current quality of air you have. It’s quiet. When it’s on high speed, you hear it, but it’s a smooth sound not obnoxious. It looks great and gets the job done. I love the settings that give you the power to adjust to your needs while also offering you the option to run it economically or on auto. I’m buying a second and hope they last a long time!

This Coway unit has been a top pick among HEPA filter reviews for years. I got it at a great price on sale and it was well worth it. Good build quality, nice air flow, and very quiet on the lowest mode. Very easy to setup and change filters. I looked at the cost over time when comparing the base unit price plus new filters, and this was competitive with all alternatives I was considering before even factoring in that this unit is more highly recommended. One surprise was the size of the unit, simply because I did not check the dimensions before hand. It's not an issue, but it is larger than I thought it would be based just on the listing's pictures.

If I had bought this air purifier for most rooms of my house, it would be great. Unfortunately, I bought it for my bedroom, which means I want it to be quiet and dim.Good:* Seems to do its job, filtering air. It moves a lot of air.* The speed 1 is very quiet* Clear indicators for current air quality and for filter replacement* Multiple air flow speedsMixed:* You can turn off the biggest light, the one showing air quality. Unfortunately, it's the most useful light (though way too big and bright for night time), and other LEDs cannot be disabled. I keep a strip of cardboard over the top delay. The bright lights are all on the top, which make them easy to cover.Bad:* The highest air flow setting is VERY loud, loud enough that it would wake me from a deep sleep. This means the "auto" setting is worthless to me, as I do not want it to shift into airplane engine mode in the middle of the night. I have to leave it on 1 or 2 manually.* No way to turn off all LEDs or to limit auto mode to lower speeds.

i bought two for a new apartment i moved into, the floor plan is a rectangle so i put one on each end of the apartment (which i’m sure was overkill, it’s a small place) . my boyfriend has asthma & despite the property management claiming there’s no history of smoking, the building is old, like historic part of the city old, & the apartment is directly above businesses so even with new carpets & paint it had that smokey smell & feeling to it, subtle but enough that my boyfriend couldn’t be in it too long without the windows open before his chest felt tight (we viewed it when it was nice out & they had all the windows open). so i looked into air purifiers, found this one & i am so thankful!! i purchased the smoke filter specifically just to be safe for both models i have, & it reduced the smokey smell significantly & now my boyfriend can stay as long as he likes without any issue!!! i also LOVE that they have an air sensor that triggers it to filter more or less depending on the quality. i seriously love these & unless the fan is on high they make very little noise, think a subtle white noise, i have one right next to my bed & it doesn’t bother me at all. my one comment would be that i wish they had an app to connect to so i could keep track of the air quality & put them in eco mode from. i’ve only had these for a month & a half but so far these are definitely worth the cost

I got this as we have pets and I have asthma and I am allergic to dust, spores, scents e.g. It came very carefully wrapped from the boxing of the product to the individual filters all in protective packaging. I turned it on and straight away it detected cooking smells and on Auto it started up and turned itself off when air went from red to blue. For those saying it doesnt work … did you take all the wrapping off the filters? Its a modern design and fits nicely against a wall. The air felt so much fresher this morning ( we live near to the sea so home has a sort of beach hut smell generally and close by trees blow pollen in) It clearly removes spores as I didnt have my usual sneezing fit this morning having left it on auto over night.

La entrega fue muy rápida, me llegó un día antes de lo previsto, primer punto positivo. El purificador esta hecho de muy buenos materiales segundo punto positivo. En cuanto al ruido en el nivel 1 el ruido no es perceptible y en el nivel 2 es casi imperceptible, en el nivel 3 si se escucha mucho pero son muy pocas ocasiones y por muy poco tiempo en las que se tiene que usar en nivel 3 por lo que también es un punto positivo. Otro punto positivo en mi opinión es su tamaño que es más compacto que otros de su misma capacidad. Yo vivo en una zona donde hay muchas construcciones de edificios en los alrededores lo cual ha hecho que en los últimos dos años haya mucho polvo en el ambiente, además la calidad de aire en la ciudad donde vivo ha bajado mucho también lo que ha provocado que tenga reacciones alérgicas que sobe todo en las noches provocando que se me congestionen las vías respiratorias y batalle para respirar. Las 3 noches que llevo usándolo hasta ahora el nivel de polvo en la habitación a bajado casi en un 90%, no he tenido reacciones alérgicas y en las noches no se me congestiona la nariz, lo tengo encendido las 24 horas del día en el nivel de velocidad 1. Todavía es pronto para ver si tendré buenos resultados a largo plazo pero hasta el día de hoy ha sido muy bueno.A los que están investigando la compra de un purificador de aire les recomiendo que analicen muy bien su situación particular. Este purificador me ha sido muy útil ya que elimina polvos, olores y la gran mayoría de contaminantes, también por lo que investigué elimina solo parte de los gases emitidos por los automóviles en zonas de tráfico pero cuidado, no los elimina del todo, si tu vives en una zona de mucho tráfico vehicular y necesitas eliminar los gases producidos por el tráfico necesitas otro tipo de purificador. En mi caso particular ha resultado excelente compra y si lo recomiendo, estoy por comprar el segundo para la recámara de mis hijos.
Did not operate strong burning smell
Unboxed, removed plastic protection from filters, plugged in using 240v to 110v converter. Powered up and started for about 2 seconds then stopped working and you could see smoke and a strong smell of burning. Item now being returned. Delivery and packaging was good and return was easy enough so can’t fault that. Just a shame that the item is faulty.
Waste of money
The device is made with specific power requirements not mentioned in the specs. It went to trash at the end
