5.0 out of 5 stars Work great for a trs foot pedal
I used these cables to connect a trs foot pedal to a dual channel preamp. Worked perfectly. I also tried one as a stereo cable and it worked well also. Good thickness and good quality. Easy to tell apart with different colors. Looks good and 6 foot is a good length for a short pedal cable.
5.0 out of 5 stars High quality, reasonable price.
Top quality cable and connectors, available in choice of colors for easy color coding.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great color, Good cables
Build quality is ideal, color is vibrant for easy finding through nests of black wires. Coating is soft and satiny but not gummy/tack.Pretty snazzy. Probably going to stick with these, I hate trying to detangle faceless black cables when I'm trying to swap things around in the studio and these help keep it clean and cute.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works Great!
Works as advertised! Perfect for the rack I needed it for. Won't hesitate to buy again!
4.0 out of 5 stars They're a little thin and I worry about longevity, but for a basic installation they're fine
This is a review of Seismic Audio 6' 1/4" TRS Male to 1/4" TRS Male Patch Cables. My first thought when receiving these was 'wow, this are a little more thin and flexible than I anticipated'. I'm used to a thicker, more rigid cable, so I'm most definitely reading the... floppiness(?)... of these cables as a negative. But maybe you have an application where this would be a good property to have! But I probably wouldn't take these on the road.I do appreciate that these have a fully metal plug and barrel, not a plastic molded connector, so that's a giant plus. The plugs are soldered-to under heat shrink, so I can't get a feel for the actual gauge of the wire used unless I slice off the heat shrink, which I'm not going to do.I'm using these for balanced, line-level signals, so it'd be hard to mess that up. But I'm not getting any noise, and no scratchiness when moving the cables around, so they seem to be built well enough. I'm using these for a relatively short run and they're not going to get moved around, so I'm going to keep them and use them.Next time I need another set of cables, I might get them again for a tight fit behind a rack or similar, but for other uses I'll probably look for something that I feel is a little more substantial.
5.0 out of 5 stars Does the job for cheap
I've been using an audio interface and studio monitors for years, using fancy shielded instrument cables to run between them. I kept having issues with what I thought was ground noise, and simply could not get rid of it. I thought it was bad wiring/grounding - I tried different outlets, power conditioners, a UPS, and nothing made a material difference. Decided on a whim to pick up these affordable balanced cables to see if that would help, and sure enough the noise was completely gone.10/10, great value and solved my noise problem. Don't be like me, use the right cable for the job.
