I bought this to use on my hands before playing a West African djemba (drum) as recommended by my teacher. It works well and is very soft and creamy--you don't need to use much. In fact, my teacher had been using a different formulation and when I showed her this one, she prefers it. Keeps the drumhead in good communication--and your hands!

I ordered on Bolo thinking the trucks had AC. Not so. After 8 hours on the truck, the package and jar were warm, and half the product was liquid. I let it sit overnight and by morning it was a hard butter. It was hard to use at first so I mashed it up with a small wooden spoon. That helped to loosen the butter. You will need to warm the butter in your hands to soften enough to use on your face and body. With that said, I like the product. It moisturized my skin and lasted all day without being greasy. My skin is on the dry side so this works for me. Once done, I had a bit left so ran my hands over my thick coarse curly/wavy hair to help with frizz. Since I don't have to use a lot of butter, the jar will last a long time.

The media could not be loaded. I don't know if I received a bad batch or if my jar was old, but I literally could not use this butter ("butter"). It is so hard and stiff that I can not use my finger to get any of the product on my hand. I ended up using a kitchen utensil to test it.... GOODNESS! I'm actually grateful that I couldn't use it when I first tried because this stuff STINKS! It is not an odor that I want on my hands, much less my body. An absolute waste of money. Truly, there is nothing positive that I can say about the product.UPDATE - The seller contacted me to offer a replacement, which I accepted. The replacement jar arrived very quickly.. the video I posted is from my first jar and the images are from the second jar. The replacement jar, as with the first one, was wrapped in plastic shrink wrap and there was a foil seal under the cap... so, I do not believe the issues are related to poor storage.. I'm not sure which jar is worse, though... I finally identified a way to describe the odor - it smells like the powder from the inside of a latex balloon or gloves. Maybe that's what it is supposed to smell like? Unfortunately, I maintain my negative opinion of the product... however, the seller is fantastic. I am appreciative of their efforts to bring me a sense of satisfaction with my purchase... I have already scheduled the return and both jars will be on their way back to them soon.

I originally got this mango butter because I thought it was organic. This was important to me as a nursing mother, because I wanted a lotion or body butter that I could rub all over myself without worrying about how it might affect my baby. After I used it a couple times, I saw in small print on the back of the label that this is not a certified organic product. Furthermore, since this is not a “whipped” body butter, it takes a quite a bit of effort and time to scrape the butter out of the container and then rub it between your hands enough until it’s smearable. It takes me a while (maybe 10 minutes) to rub myself all over with this. When you first scrape it out, it feels a little waxy, but eventually smoothes out. It’s not my favorite, and I probably won’t be buying again.
A little hard to apply.
So I'm using a small amount and trying to soften it in my hands but it doesn't all soften very easily. Then I try spreading onto my skin to complete the softening and it does happen eventually but it's not easy. End result when it does soften is great and moisturizes well.

Je cherchais un vrai beurre de karité non raffiné . Je voulais que la texture soit authentique et que l’odeur y soit aussi. Celui là est parfait. Pour en avoir tester pas mal je peux vraiment dire qu’il est top!! Certes il y a une odeur un peu, mais c’est justement à cela qu’on voit la qualité du produit ! Je recommande vivement
Great Product
This is lovely and really makes your skin soft... I will be buying again, although I think the size of the tub will last for ages, so well worth the money.
