STORMIO: A rich & strong coffee blend. Intensity 8. Smooth, rich cereal notes are brought to the fore by Guatemalan washed Arabica, which are then blended with Nicaraguan beans to create a strong, distinct flavor. tormio is mainly comprised of dark and long roasted beans, which help to develop its intensity, both in terms of body as well as singular notes. A long prewetting and high temperature allow to express the spicy and woody notes of Stormio.
ODACIO: A long bold & lively coffee blend. Intensity 7. An audacious blend of fine Arabicas from Nicaragua and Ethiopia, Odacio is a full-bodied coffee with cereal notes accented by a slight East African fruitiness. Adding milk softens the flavor, bringing dairy, sweet notes. Fusing the flavors of two different continents, this blend of fine Arabica beans from Central America and East Africa serve up contrasting, yet complementary tastes in Odacio.
MELOZIO: A smooth & balanced coffee blend. Intensity 6. Fine quality Brazilian Bourbon and Central American Arabicas are lightly roasted to create a rounded coffee that is smooth and perfectly balanced. Adding milk opens up the softer, sweeter sides of the coffee, enhancing the biscuity notes. Central American Arabica coffee delivers balance and a harmonious character to Melozio, which is enhanced by the sweet, honey notes of fine Brazilian Bourbon coffee beans. Thanks to the split-roasting, the fine Brazilian Bourbon beans reveal flavors rich in sweet cereal notes, giving a sensuous, smooth texture. The soft character and balance is achieved through the second split of Central American Arabicas. The fast flow and high temperature ensure a roundness of flavor, which is typical in blending lightly roasted Bourbon and Central American Arabicas.

As someone who appreciates a strong cup of coffee to kickstart my day, I was intrigued by the Nespresso VertuoLine Coffee, Intenso, 30 Count capsules. Being a middle-aged professional, time is of the essence, and the convenience of these pods seemed like a perfect match for my busy mornings. However, after trying them out, I have mixed feelings about this product.What I Like:Convenience: The ease of use is undeniable. Pop a capsule in, and within minutes, you have a hot cup of coffee. This is a huge plus for those rushed mornings when I’m juggling multiple tasks.Flavor: The Intenso variety does live up to its name. The flavor is robust, and there’s a depth that you wouldn’t expect from a pod. It’s rich and satisfying, particularly if you prefer a stronger coffee.What I Don’t Like:Price: This is where the value comes into question for me. While the flavor is good, the cost per pod is quite high. When you do the math, you’re paying a premium for the convenience, and I’m not entirely sure it’s justified. For the price, I could buy freshly ground premium coffee that offers a similar, if not better, experience.Environmental Impact: While Nespresso has a recycling program, it’s not the most convenient. The capsules are single-use, and it adds up quickly. I find myself feeling a bit guilty about the waste, especially considering the alternatives that are more environmentally friendly.Variety: While Intenso is a solid choice, I found the range of flavors to be somewhat limiting. If you’re someone who likes to mix things up, you might find yourself wanting more options beyond the standard offerings.Bottom Line:The Nespresso VertuoLine Coffee, Intenso capsules are a decent option if you prioritize convenience and enjoy a strong cup of coffee. I’m a lifetime coffeeholic. My daughter gave me a Nespresso Vertuo machine for Christmas last year…when I tried a cup of Melazzio from this machine, the angel choirs began to sing. It is literally the best coffee I’ve ever had, and the vertuo creates a rich, delicious layer of “crema” on top of each cup. Listen it’s not a “bargain priced” coffee…but now that I can make this at home, nothing else will do. If you know someone who has one of these machines, do yourself a favor and experience a taste of some really superb and flavorful coffee.

I prefer the espresso capsules, but Melozio is a great flavor for when you just want something nice and neutral to add a splash of creamer to. Not too weak or strong, not too bitter or sweet, not too dark or light. It doesn’t have a lot of character on its own like a single origin flavor, but some days that’s all you want.

Lots of variety of coffees. Good flavors. Decaf available. I found the table size brewer very interesting and ingenious. I first enjoyed the little individual cups in Europe two years ago. One of the nicest things I’ve found on Bolo.
