About this item:
EPIC Provisions Maple Bacon Pork Cracklings are the ultimate healthy indulgence made from a blend of antibiotic-free, non-GMO, organic, and pastured pork that’s seasoned with maple sugar. Allowing more whole animal utilization, pork skins are an extension of EPIC’s Whole Animal Project, a “snout-to-tail” commitment to honor each animal sourced. What is a crackling? A crackling is a fried pork skin obtained from the shoulder region of a pig. It’s harder and crispier than a pork rind. Also unlike rinds, they contain small portions of meat that adhere to the skin, adding extra protein and flavor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected
Arrived on time, packaged well. However, I was expecting just a regular pork crackling just with some added flavor. I didn't realize that they still had bits of fat still attached. I don't care for the texture of that. My bad for not reading more into the description. Not for me, but seems like it would be well liked by people who prefer their cracklings with the fat still attached.
1.0 out of 5 stars Maybe it's the skin on
Just too porky flavor, The flavor >maple bacon did not taste like that. I usually like Epic products, my dog didn't want ir either. I left it for him and he eventually ate it. I gave the other bags to my friend.

- first...the ingredients or formulation changed. So for me, that was a disappointment. I loved the maple flavor paired with the saltiness.+ my daughter, who did not like them before, loves them
4.0 out of 5 stars A Sweet Snack
A tasty bit of crackling, a bit softer in texture then most I have tried, more like rinds but nice flavor with the Maple Bacon seasoning.
3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as they used to be
I used to LOVE these pork cracklings - there was just the right mix of sweet/salty/crunchy. For those reviewers complaining about the slightly soft parts - that’s because these are pork CRACKLINGS, not pork rinds - there’s a difference. Over the last few months, the quality has been inconsistent. Sometimes there would be mostly pieces of the light, airy pork rinds and less of the cracklings (if all I wanted was pork rinds, there are many less expensive options to choose from). Sometimes you’d get a lot of the seasoning, sometimes hardly any. Occasionally I’d even have some that tasted rancid. I’d say I was addicted to these things and have gone through about four bags a week for the last 6 months or so. I’ve bought them from Bolo as well as Whole Foods and have had the same problem with inconsistent quality from both places. I think I’m finally ready to quit buying them and face the fact that these aren’t what they used to be.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very tasty, very rich
Ordered these to try when I feel the urge to snack on something crunchy. These do not disappoint! However, a few at a time will suffice, they are basically crunchy fat and very rich. Unlike potato chips or similar snacks, you probably don’t want to eat the whole bag at once! But these are tasty and I will probably order them again.
2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed!
Each of the 4 bags have been more stale than the last. I truly hate leaving bad reviews, but for the price of these to not be able to enjoy them is frustrating. I opened the last bag today with hopes the first 3 were a fluke and this bag is inedible. The product is very hard to bite/chew and has a stale taste.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, TERRIBLE packaging!
Product yummy 5 starsPackaging 0 starsThese 4 bags are taped together so tightly with wide packing tape that it is rarely possible to cut them apart without cutting into at least one bag!!! Grrrr!Unfortunately, I can’t buy them elsewhere because this is by far the best out price.
