This is an excellent product which I have rated 5 stars. Five years ago I bought a set of six knives which came with a wooden block. Having used them daily, they have remained extremely sharp with little change in appearance. The wooden handles are completely intact and have not discolored or warped. They have never been placed in the dishwasher and always have been washed by hand. The rounded shape of the handle is comfortable to hold for those with small or large hands. In five years the price has only increased by $2. The seller now offers a set of 8 knives without the wooden block which is available at Bolo. I have owned other steak knives which are large and clumsy and for that reason rarely got used. I am so happy with the FlyingColors product! You can't go wrong because they sell for less than $30. I hope my comments have helped anyone out there who is in need of great serrated steak knives.

I am so incredibly happy I found these steak knives from Laguiole. I had been searching for a reasonably priced set of pearl-handled Cutco knives but couldn’t justify the cost. So, when the holidays rolled in, I bought two sets of these white-handled Laguiole knives to use for holiday dinners I hosted,As you can see in my photos, the quality is excellent and while they’re not the same size as my Cutco knives, they’re a tiny fraction of the cost and are much, much sharper. I know they’ll last me a long time if I take care of them.These Laguiole knives are beautiful and well-made. I got a few compliments on them at Christmas dinner because they really are striking to look at.I wouldn’t hesitate to buy these. Bonus: you get a cute little wooden knife block for these if you’d like to display them on your counter.

Really liked these knifes more than the IKEA. I bought first the Ikea 6 piece Steak knife set which had good reviews, I should have read the bad ones too. Just like one other person said " The IKEA SHEDS THE STEAK" . I always try the peeling potato challenge and that way I know if they will be good steak knifes.As soon as I got the IKEA set I tried the potato and I told my husband I think this is not going to work. Then we had dinner and although they do cut steak it was not as suppose to. I then returned the IKEA and ordered these. As you can see on the picture, try to zoom the picture where the serrated part of this knife is, then go to the IKEA steak knife picture and zoom it too, compare and you will see what I am talking about.The serrated of IKEA has like a zig sag type of shape on the serrated part which makes the knife not good for cutting ( each line of the serrated blade is apart from each other), this one instead has a different style serrated style, it has one line next to each other and that is how it should be. I have had them for 2 months and there is no stains or rusting on them. I wash all my dishes by hand maybe that is why. I am very satisfied with my purchase. I overall give it 4 stars, but give it 5 comparing it with other of the cheaper brands. Before returning the IKEA set I had to return another set, so this was my 3rd and last. Finally got something I wanted.

Not high quality, as the price indicates, but for me, they are perfect; using in my new RV. I have all rainbow utensils and these are a great addition. They work great, nice and sharp. I wouldn't buy for regular use in my home though. They don't feel like they'd last with regular use and dishwasher washing for too long. The handle is light compared to the blade opposite of what you'd find in high quality knives. Love the holder it comes with!

These are nice knives for the money, but the glowing reviews gave me unrealistic expectations. The reason why I reduce the rating is because the look and feel is a little cheap once you get your hands on them. I really don't see the point in having a knife block for plastic glossy handled knives. They would make more sense in a kitchen drawer. They really are not for show, and I would rather use higher quality knives for guests, although they are great for every day use. They are plastic and thus incredibly light, so do not expect a heavy sturdy feeling knife. Still, they are very sharp, they work well and have a decent handle. I wish they had used the wood from the block and made nicer handles, but the fact is that they are dishwasher safe and they come as advertised. I would never pay the list price of $45 for them, but at $15, this is a hard to beat deal. One reviewer says the blade had trouble with an apple. This didn't make any sense to me, but upon picking one up, I see that the blade is thin and flexible, so I wouldn't be surprised if it is subject to bend under pressure. As a true steak knife, I would rate these fairly low, but they are a great option if you want a knife that isn't as robust as a steak knife, but gets the job more than done when a butter knife just won't cut it.

Have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the wood and got the stainless steel. Turns out to be the better choice. Stainless doesn't trap bacteria as my old wood handled knives did, which required very careful washing. And stainless handles are hollow, so knives light and comfortable to use. Excellent serrated edge cuts very well. Nice wood block holder. Great buy.I what one reviewer said is true. Knives one side of blade. Doesn't seem to effect cutting though. Cut great. But don't know if real brand name, which are very expensive are serrated on both sides. Still very happy with them.

While I am more than aware that these are not true Laguiole Knives....I think this are the perfect addition to any small dinner gathering. I love the French lifestyle! I cannot afford the French lifestyle...lol. These will give me that French aesthetic, without the French aesthetic lifestyle. Unless someone is a cutlery aficionado, I don’t thkn anyone will even know! I love me a good knockoff!! The colors are vibrant. The handle is a nice comfortable weight...heavy but not toooo heavy. The blade is nice and sharp. I will get a lot of use out of these!!

The knifes are very well built. Have a nice weight to them as well!Not scared to take on the biggest cuts of meat, these knives wont let you down!Love the knife block, came unfinished, so we could dye it to match are kitchen, dinning room decor.
