I have noticed that wine can be better appreciated when it is given time to breathe before tasting. This decanter allows me to do that function more quickly and adds a touch of elegance when pouring the wine. I like the look of it and it is of good quality.

Before buying this decanter, I did some research. There seem to be issues with some decanters of this shape, such as washing, drying, pouring, however, the Chateau Wine Decanter does not share any of those issues.What I liked about the decanter- it ls large, solid, lovely - does not need to be babied- it washed easily, just with soap and water- it dried beautifully within minutes (other decanters experience difficulty)- the mouth, although slanted, holds the wine funnel at a correct angle (I had wondered about that)- the size of the mouth is a perfect fit for the the size of the wine funnel - one does not need to hold the funnel while pouring- when serving, it poured out every last bit of liquid (other decanters experience difficulty)- it has a round hollow foot at the bottom (visible in picture), which will hold sediments beautifully- the width of the neck just above the bowl, is a bit larger than some other decanters, which allows more air for breathing, and also, helps in drying after washing.Suggestion: after washing, I placed a microfiber cloth into a 4 cup Pyrex measuring cup, inverted the decanter and leaned it at an angle against a corner (make sure the measuring cup will not slide forward). After a few minutes, I gave the decanter a 180 turn (rotation in place), and allowed it to drip from the other half, as it were. In other words, first it rested on the shorter side of the mouth, and later on the taller side, on the spout, thus allowing both sides of the bowl to drip dry. After a total of about less than 10 minutes, the decanter was completely dry in the inside. I just had to wipe the mouth.Already ordered another one as a gift. The only imperfection is a small air bubble inside the glass, but I suppose these things happen. Short of hitting it, I do not believe that it will burst. If it will, I shall contact seller.

This is an elegant decanter that will make you wine look and taste better!! I love that it's larger than my other one and a full bottle fills the decanter to its widest point offering more air contact time so you can drink your pour sooner! If you're not decanting your wines...why not!!! It's the best thing you can do to elevate almost any red wine.

Within 30 minutes there’s a noticeable taste difference in full bodied reds, and within an hour it’s much better. Even my fiancé, who doesn’t like dry reds, says it makes them drinkable for her. She doesn’t shudder when she tastes them lol. Adding a cleaning kit and a drying stand for this is crucial, just order it now because you’ll need it. The glass doesn’t feel brittle and the pouring edge works excellent to minimize drip off the edge and down the outside of the glass.
great design and works well
Used it for the first time on Valentine's Day. I really like the way wine spreads around when poured in, and yet doesn't splash. This seems like a nice gentle way to aerate the wine, and certainly the Priorat we poured into it tasted excellent afterwards. The pour is nice too; I've seen some decanters that pour "in a rush"; this definitely isn't one of those.The decanter itself is very light weight, might be fragile but I'm careful. Attractive but not fussy. We used to have a fancy heavy crystal decanter that made me nervous every time I used it due to its weight. Glad we've moved on.Recommended.

Hat wie bei anderen Bewertungen / Bilder Kratzer, und fühlt sich an wie Plexiglas. Preisleistung stimmt nicht. Anscheinend gibt's keine Qualitätskontrolle. Kann ich nicht empfehlen.
