I have hormonal acne with very oily combo skin and I use to think everything needed to be oil free to clear my acne. Well, you know how now they say you must combat oil with oil? I totally changed up my beauty products to using products that obviously won't clog my pores and make me break out, but also don't out my skin. I used to use face washes geared towards acne, for example like Neutrogena with salicylic acid. Products like those dried the crap out of my skin causing more irritation and more break outs.So i began my search for a great product that doesn't dry out my skin, removes makeup effectively (after using an oil cleanser), doesn't cause me to break out. This cleanser does everything I wanted! You really only need to use a PEA SIZE amount! It lathers up very well so don't waster the product by squeezing more than that. If you're using in the morning with no make up to remove you can use even less than a pea size. Anyway, like I said it lathers nicely and does a fine job at removing makeup. After rinsing my face does not feel tight and dry at all! It's so great! I really love how it is fragrance free as well.Overall, I am so happy to have found this product!!! It's a great price to for how little you have to use.

I have 4 significant challenges when it comes to finding facial cleaners 1) I am over 50. 2) I have oily skin. 3) I have rosacea and 4) I live in Anchorage, AK. Finding a product that I can use is complicated and a lot of times I don't know immediately whether a given product will work for me, which is why I gave this cleanser 4 stars. I like the feel of it on my skin, it seems to do a good job of dealing with the oil without over-drying my skin and it seems like it isn't aggravating the rosacea. But I won't know for sure until I've used it for a while. If I am still as happy with it a month from now as I am at this time, I'll come back and update my review & raise my rating.All that being said, I think for most people with combination or sensitive skin, this would be a phenomenal cleanserUpdated 6/05/2018:I said that I would update my review after I had used this cleaner for awhile, so here's my update. I'm still thrilled with this product -- it has turned out to be the best face cleaner I've found for addressing all of my skin challenges.

I have been using this face wash for a week and it's crazy how much my face has transformed in such a short period of time. I have dry acne prone skin and usually prefer a very gentle face wash. I have used cetaphil, neutrogena ultra gentle cleanser, jack black cleanser, and other products that advertise a gentle wash for sensitive skin. But so far this has been the best on my skin. I love the creamy texture of this wash, seriously a little goes a long way. It leaves my skin super clean feeling and it feels like my face can breath and my pores have opened up. The first day using it I got a couple pimples, and i think it is because the old face wash I was using was not doing its job. Within a couple days the pimples have gone away and my face feels great. The texture of my skin has smoothed out tremendously, I want to keep touching my face. The hylaronic acid in this product is extremely helpful for my dry skin. Buy this and try it! It's not that expensive and you will be pleasantly surprised!

I don't have sensitive skin and skin is mostly dry. This facial cleanser feels gentle and very hydrating. It comes out close to the consistancy of a thick lotion. I get zero foaming with this product despite the products description that it is lightly foaming, doesn't bother me but thought I'd mention it. There was one major issue for me personally, thus the 4 instead of 5 star rating. I had been trying to place the smell after using is a few days. It dawned on me today that it definitely, and very unfortunately, smells like baby spit up. It isn't a harshly offensive odor, but it makes me pause applying it to my face...

This is my go-to daily/every-other-day face wash. I use it twice a day, typically, once in the morning and once at night while showering. The fact that I am able to use it twice a day speaks to how non-drying it is and non-irritating, as many other face-washes I've used in the past that are effective exfoliants tend to also dry my face out. I have combination skin that is slightly oily in my T-region but quite dry otherwise—and I lean more dry than oily so am always worried about face washes drying out my skin unnecessarily. That is not the case with the hada labo cleanser in my experience!Although I wouldn't say the formula is "moisturizing," I do think it is hydrating, in the sense that immediately after use, your face might feel a little tight / taut (and very clean!!); however, in the long run of ~a couple weeks of use, my overall level of hydration in my skin was much improved. Although I'm by no means a skin care professional, my guess would be that it's because this formula does a great job of actually cleaning out my pores and thus, right after washing, when I apply my serums and lotions, my skin is able to better absorb these hydrating and healing solutions thanks to this facewash.I'm a big fan of this face wash and would recommend it to anyone looking to try out a face wash that cleans without completely drying out your skin!
Amazing cleanser. On my 2nd bottle and I will continue to buy! Worth the money.
