5.0 out of 5 stars Happy Doggies
Well, I am happy to state that Norton & Murphy absolutely love this flavor of food. They love the fruits, veggies, chicken & brown rice. They gobble it down, and want more. This is a gourmet hit for them!!
5.0 out of 5 stars It is pretty and cheap enough?
It is pretty and cheap enough? I buy it. Right Rachael. You go girlfriend! But... It is cheaper in the old brick and mortar. Also, I switch it up. My puppy boy gets the fancy good stuff now and then. This one has veggies you can see! Now buy it, even though I don't at this moment. My dog don't care. :-)
5.0 out of 5 stars Great food loved more than treats
This food is amazing! We've been buying the other Rachael Ray food, because it seems higher quality than the "big name" brands. Saw this on a commercial and decided to try it. And good thing I did! My baby loves it, she gobbles it down right away as if it's a treat, not just dog food. There are plentiful chunks of dried carrots, little bacon-shaped things, peas, chicken chunks, etc. All the meat is named meat (i.e. "Poultry Fat" vs "Animal Fat"), which is a good thing. If they don't list the source of the meat, you can bet it's sourced from something you wouldn't want your loved-ones eating. Google for more info if you're interested on unnamed meat.Often times I add water to her Rachael Ray food (enough to just cover the food), stir in a little flour (to thicken), some FreshPet doggie sausage (fridge section at dog store), and maybe some leftovers (chicken, pretzels, whatever), microwave for a minute, and let sit for 10 minutes (until the water soaks in). The food poofs up, she loves it, and it's easier to digest. It also stretches my dollar when it comes to feeding my girl, without resorting to junky food with questionable ingredients.I was initially a little wary of the dried peas, I know many dog food makers add dried peas to increase the protean percentage (dried peas have very high protean, but isn't a form that's as good as mean), but there is plenty of meat as well in this food to provide a good, balanced, high-energy diet, which does in fact have a lot more "good" protean than your average dog food. She loves this more than the other Rachael Ray foods, and other dry foods (even more expensive ones like Blue Buffalo). It's not that expensive and top quality. 5/5.
4.0 out of 5 stars I want to give my dog the best food possible
I was looking into the Farmers Dog and other real foods for my dog but she does not react well to food with too much moisture. I wanted to find a good dry food. Ive learned that a lot of kibble products are not healthy at all. I was very concerned with the ingredients. I did my research. Rachel Ray Dish was test by researchers and scored very well on quality. There were 3 ingredients the study made note of and only because there is not concrete evidence for those ingredients. These ingredients are not dangerous, but they have mixed reviews on whether they are nutritional. For the price, I find the Dish a great choice for my pup. I copied and pasted what I found about the 3 ingredients. (*Brewers rice - this item is of only modest nutritional value to a dog. *Beet pulp is a controversial ingredient, a high fiber by-product of sugar beet processing. Some denounce beet pulp as an inexpensive filler while others cite its outstanding intestinal health and blood sugar benefits.Additionally, this product contains *sodium selenite, a controversial form of the mineral selenium. Sodium selenite appears to be nutritionally inferior to the more natural source of selenium found in selenium yeast.)
5.0 out of 5 stars My dog loves it!
Yogi likes the variety of kibble. It is crunchy so maybe dogs with teeth issues might have a problem.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great price
My dog has been eating this brand for over a year, if he's happy I'm happy.
5.0 out of 5 stars My dog runs to the bowl
Dogs loves this food the most. They hear me fill it up n they come eat!
3.0 out of 5 stars More Chicken Pieces
This product lists chicken pieces as the first ingredient, however there was only 8 pieces of chicken in this huge bag! My Yorkie waits with great anticipation for a chicken piece but in vain. Rachel Ray is extremely stingy with the chicken pieces, very, very disappointed!
