5.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight
I purchased this backpack to carry my snorkel gear on a cruise. I wanted something large and light, and this worked out well. The bag seems to be well made and should last. There are lots of pockets and the zippers all work smoothly, It folds up into a little pouch and is easy to pack.
5.0 out of 5 stars Don't be scared by the price - this is a great product.
I do not leave many reviews, and I am very picky about my backpacks. There are too many bags that clearly have been designed by someone who does not actually use backpacks to carry books, papers, or whatever . . . I find that unforgivable. I suspect that this product was designed by someone who shares my frustration since this backpack has details and features that many absurdly expensive backpacks somehow lack. (Double zippers, for example,)Convenience, unexpected details that enhance this product's usefulness, and durable construction all make this a product that does not disappoint. Frankly, even as an ultra-light backpack, I prefer this to some of the heavier - and far more expensive - bags I routinely use. When folded up, this isn't really much of a tote bag. That's really not the point, however: the bag is so compact that throwing this into a piece of luggage to bring on vacation a no brainer. On my last vacation, this bag proved itself to be invaluable as an extra backpack each to take along as a precaution for excursions, for shopping, for short hikes, or for the beach. Because it's so light and compact, bringing it is easy and no big deal if it did not get used. From the first time I used the bag, I was impressed by its solid construction and thoughtful design. Its versatility allowed it to essentially outperform substantially more expensive daypacks I had also brought. The low cost of this bag makes this an outrageously good deal.I am pleased to be able to recommend this product without hesitation. Usually, deals that seem too good to be true ARE. I gambled on bought this bag, and I am very very glad I did so. I look forward to giving this out as stocking-stuffer gifts in December.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great extended backpacking accessory
I purchased this about 10 months ago to stash in my 85 liter internal frame backpack for a 3 week wilderness backpacking trip. I used it to hike from wherever I set up camp to that day’s water source, usually a lake or stream located about a quarter to half mile away. It fit all my collapsible water containers, water bladder and my water filter and accessories. This way I didn’t have to unpack my large pack to carry all my various 2 liter water containers just to fill them up. I think once the containers are filled, I was packing 4 - 32 oz sawyer squeeze water containers, a 2.5 liter platypus water bladder, a 16 oz Nalgene bottle, the net bag with my Sawyer Squeeze, all filled to capacity and some various odds and ends like a thin rain parka. A couple times I brought my alcohol stove, coffee cup and small cook set as well to have lunch at nicer water filtering spots.I also used this as my carry-on bag, to eliminate some of the weight in my large checked in backpack and to keep my valuables with me on the plane (electronics, kindle, solar panel, large REI fannypack) basically the stuff you wouldn’t want to find stolen from your luggage once you landed.I’ve also brought this along car camping just to throw twigs, sticks etc while scavenging for smaller pieces of firewood.Even though I bought this for outdoor wilderness trip use, I’ve ended up using this on a daily basis as well in the city. I can fit my iPad Pro 12.9”, my kindle paperwhite, my Nikon DSLR, a makeup bag, wallet, cables, sunglasses, snacks, water bottle and a little umbrella and it’s still going strong. It will also fit my travel tripod (which is 14” in length when collapsed) if I don’t mind losing a few of my more “pursey” type things. So if you’re traveling with larger luggage or backpacking this is a nice little lightweight packable backpack which takes up very little space when folded up and comes in handy for a day hike, shopping or to bring some creative tools on the go.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great for Travel
I used this for an international trip. It is lightweight and folds into itself for easy packing. It has some pockets on the inside that are nice but kind of unstructured, so I'm not sure how helpful it is to have them at all. It is very roomy and worked well for my purposes.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best thing since ever!
I just love love this backpack! I put the gum next to it for size comparison, and the good news is, I can actually fold It up in a breeze and make to full size for my next adventure! I originally bought this a year and a half ago for my trip to Israel, it is so lightweight, it weighs like nothing, and it holds everything, everything. I use this now as my carry-on for the plane because it holds a ton more than any carry on ever could. This Venture Pal has no weight or shape to it on its own, it is just ready to be filled to the brim with everything you need for an adventure! Has held up great, the price is fabulous..5 stars!
5.0 out of 5 stars Best one of all of the lightweight foldable backpacks out there!
I've bought several of these for all my family members and we use them almost daily. I use mine constantly. They really hold up, but eventually (after daily use and HEAVY items in the backpack, they sometimes will get a little tear near the zipper (mostly front pocket). I love the inner pockets in the big compartment- really well balanced, good padding, and packs tiny. I take it on every trip I go on.Holds a ton- I overstuff mine all the time!
5.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight and durable
I bought this in dark blue in 2019 and it was exactly what I needed. Folded down to a small packable extra bag. Lightweight and comfortable, good for hiking, carrying a laptop, or whatever.. It's over 5 years later and it is still holding up well.
Compact for Travelling
Great, compact backpack for work travel.
wow
