5.0 out of 5 stars Better Than Expected
The Gorilla Cart fully met my expectations and made moving about 80 yards of class 5 gravel a piece of cake. Durable, well-constructed and easy to assemble. Dumps easily and is extremely maneuverable. Well worth its cost!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Best cart for the money
I bought one of these at Lowe's probably ten or twelve years ago. It's been through a ton of punishment, garden stuff, dirt, loads and loads of firewood, rocks, gravel, and sand. It's always been kept outside and I guess in combination with the elements and hard use, the plastic finally started cracking. The wife said she'd like another cart, I hopped on Bolo and looked around, looked at several and finally decided just to order another one of these. I was happy to see the new one is as well made as the old. They are very easy to put together. The handle is an ingenious design, switches between a hand held handle and wagon tongue for lawn tractor or whatnot in about five seconds. The dump feature of the bed works well and is easy to activate. Weight capacity is something like 1500 lbs, which is really impressive. If you need a little garden wagon, this is the one.
5.0 out of 5 stars Durable and easy to pull & dump.
This cart is perfect for any jobs around the house. You can even attach it to your riding mower and pull it. It is heavy by itself and if you add a lot of weight, can be difficult to pull if you're old (71) like me. But the wheels make easy turns and the deep bucket holds a lot. The fact that I can dump a load of dirt, mulch, whatever is a big plus. Makes unloading so easy. No more tipping it over like a regular wheelbarrow! Love this feature. Great product.
5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy and useful, but no backing up.
I've only had this a few weeks, but it's proven to be very useful and very sturdy. A few things I've found out about it:1) The shipping time estimate from Ron's was way off. I ordered it on a Monday and delivery was estimated for 10 to 14 days later; I received it the Thursday after I ordered it, so 4 days, not much worse than the usual Bolo Prime. This is not a complaint, btw!2) It was insanely easy to assemble, the only hitch being that you might need long arms to reach around the tub to both hold the bolt head still inside the cart and tighten the nut on the bottom of the cart at the same time. I have long arms - some might need a helper. Another set of hands would have simplified it. As others have pointed out, the use of carriage bolts was unnecessary as they would only strip out the square holes in the plastic tub; they are equipped with slots for a large Phillips screwdriver to tighten them properly, however, so no harm done.3) If there is a way to back this thing up using your tractor, I haven't found it - and I have a lot of experience backing camp trailers, boats, utility trailers, and even an 18-wheeler (easiest of all except for visibility, really). Because the front axle on this wagon is designed to pivot in turns, any attempt to back up is an exercise in frustration - it just wants to go squirrely and jackknife, not back straight or turn as a normal trailer would. This makes it tougher to position for dumping. It might be nice to be able to lock the axle/hitch in the straight ahead position at times.4) I hauled a load of dirt and bricks that was, conservatively estimated, around 500 lbs. It carried it easily, but while I could (just) lift it to dump, I had to stand on the front axle/frame to keep the whole front end from tilting up. Another disadvantage to a non-rigid hitch-to-frame assembly. It has a few idiosyncrasies.5) I don't have a lot of thorns or cactus in my area, so the pneumatic tires are probably fine, and they roll over anything within reason. For those that do, there is a set of 2 solid, no-flat tires available on Bolo for around $53. At a Harbor Tool & Freight last weekend I noticed the same wheel/tire combo individually for around $23, and they often offer a 20% discount coupon. Just a thought.6) At $151, I consider this cart a very good value. Of course, it went down $15 a couple days after I bought it, so it would have been an even better value. Sadly, that's fairly typical...Anyhow, don't hesitate to buy this if you need a good, sturdy cart that can handle some rough terrain - just be aware that it does not behave like the usual two-wheeled trailer.
5.0 out of 5 stars BEST Garden Cart to buy!
The media could not be loaded. Recently my wheelbarrow’s tire went flat and while I was try to push through and still use it, it pretty much fell apart. So, for a while I had been wanted to purchase a heavier duty garden cart but I just kept waiting. Well, now I didn’t have a choice because I maintain an acre of land and use my wheelbarrow all the time. When I was looking for a new one, this had very good rating and I wanted a cart, and not a traditional wheelbarrow. Also, I was looking for something that could handle more than what I throw at it.In the video I accidentally said it could handle 12,000 pounds - that would be amazing but the correct number is 1,200 LB, so even that much is way more than what I would ever put in it! But my first task to put it to the test was to move crushed rock. It handled it like a champ! In regards to the build quality, the frame is really solid, quality metal. The handle that you pull to dump the cart is quality as well, so I think I will be able to dump really heavy material for a long time. The handle has a good grip and when you flip it around, you can hook it up to a lawn mower and tow it - which is something I am looking forward to using!Overall, I am very happy with the cart so far, using 4 wheel to pull it around is much more comfortable and easy to use vs lifting and pushing it away from you with a traditional one wheel wheelbarrow. Highly recommend it!
Frigg’n Awesome

Damaged handle
The media could not be loaded. I just put the gorilla cart 6.0 together. The instructions were clear and all the screws and bolts are labelled accordingly. It is possible for one person to put this together but 2 people makes the job easier. You’ll need a socket wrench and pliers.Pros: it’s bigger than I thought and it turns amazingly easy. It does hold a lot of weight. Not sure about the 1200 pounds, but I can comfort that it easily holds 3 bags of dirt. It pulls as easy as any other wagon. I wouldn’t say it’s easier to pull and of course it is heavier depending on the load. The dumping mechanism is a gem and it works with ease.Cons: it needs some sort of wheel locking mechanism. Even on the slightest unlevel ground, this cart will roll away. This cart was very expensive (more than twice as much) compared to the smaller 4.0 version. For the price I would expect every piece be in good working condition, which it doesn’t (see below).Reason I gave it a 2-star: I bought the larger cart specifically because of the “easy” rotating handle. However, our handle arrived damaged and won’t perform this function. I need this function!!I have attached a picture and video of the problem and contacted the seller asking them to send a replacement handle piece which I hope they can. I will update this review regarding sellers return msg.Update: seller quickly responded and I'm waiting for an update regarding remedy. Will continue to update and hopefully adjust my rating.
