It's notably thick, akin to honey, yet it maintains a degree of fluidity that makes it easy to pour and dispense. This consistency is ideal for incorporating into a range of recipes, including glazes, marinades, and desserts.In terms of authenticity, I was pleased to discover that this syrup is manufactured in South Korea, which lends credibility to its use in traditional Korean recipes. However, it's worth noting that some of the product information may not be readily accessible, particularly if you're unfamiliar with the Korean language.

It's really hard to describe this flavor, as it's quite different from other syrups that are based on sweet ingredients.It's not quite as sweet tasting, but still definitely a desert ingredient. The flavor is almost a bit earthy... It's really, really good and works as a flavoring syrup. It would totally work on pancakes, in addition to the more traditional uses.The flavoring on top of the sweetness is more intense than the typical maple syrup. It's not neutral at all.It's thick, like honey, but it doesn't seem to solidify as much, so it stays liquidy enough to dispense. The bottle is good at dispensing it.Ordered June 2023Expires January 2025 (19 months)Made in South Korea.

DISCLAIMER: This review is solely based on my personal experience/usage of the product. Yours might be different.I really like this maltose (malt sugar). I use them to make cakes and other desert. If you have not tried malt sugar before, they taste a bit sweet with some rice aftertaste. They are not your typical sugar/syrup, because they are not that sweet compared to typical sugar or maple syrup.Another thing I want to mention is this product here is very reasonably priced compared to other ones. So if you want to get some malt sugar, I highly recommend it.

Das Produktfoto zeigt die 1,2-kg-Flasche, was mich dazu verleitet hat, die angegebenen 700 g in der Überschrift für Milliliter zu halten. Natürlich ist das auch falsch, wenn 700 g 452 ml entsprechen ;), ein einfacher Dreisatz hilft hier weiter ;)). Immerhin war ich vorsichtig und habe nur 1 Flasche zum Probieren bestellt.Geschmacksprobe:Der Sirup ist dickflüssig, pastös könnte man es fast nennen und schmeckt sehr malzig. Der Geschmack gefällt mir gut.Leider fehlt in der Beschreibung auch die Deklaration der Nährwerte, hier ist sie:Nährwerte/100 g:320 kcalFett < 0,5 gKohlenhydrate 79 gdavon Zucker 56 gEiweiß: 0,9Salz: 0,02 gFazit:Diese mangelnde Sorgfalt bei vielen Produktbeschreibungen gefällt mir gar nicht. Der Kunde hat Anspruch darauf, genau zu erfahren, was und wieviel er für sein Geld bekommt. Auch die restliche Mindesthaltbarkeit von 4 Monaten ist viel mir zu gering.2 Sterne = gefällt mir nicht
