We tried the off brand and what we got was disappointment. There is a difference. We purchased the food saver as an experiment and have grown to love it. It lets us buy food on sale and freeze it. The food is as good as fresh as you can get with these freezer bags. We tried the off brand freezer bags (and rolls) and found our meat had gotten freezer burned, even when it was next to another bag from the FoodSaver Brand. The FoodSaver Brand has not disappointed.

I just put 40lbs of Chicken Drumsticks (4 to a bag) but you could do 6 if you wanted in multiple bags for easy storage. I chose 4 because it's easy to pull out a bag or two for a quick dinner without much leftover but you could add 6 total. This bag can be boiled, cut open and put chicken on grill for a tasty treat or baked however you like it. Bags were good sized, inexpensive.

I ordered the sealer machine, and have ordered the bags. I have sealed avocados, tamales, chicken pot pie, chicken soup, and persimmons (I bake Persimmon Bread and cookies. When I am not feeling well I can just heat my meal up, also bake for my family and friends.
