It baffles me how, based on the reviews, people seem to have received really good and really bad bags of Swedish fish within a similar time frame. I mean, I believe they did based on the pictures. Do they come from two different manufacturers or suppliers? I did my search by "most recent". I have always LOVED Swedish fish, and I was surprised to find 5 pounds for $17.99 that were REALLY good. The taste was like I've always known them to taste, the outside definitely wasn't dry- they seemed fresh to me. Some (less than 5%) were broken, but I actually like that because it's fun to find and eat the smaller pieces too. WINNER!

I have bought several of these 5lb bags in the past but my last batch was different...Anyone who eats Swedish fish likes the gummy chewy consistancy, that is part of their appeal...the last bag, was tasty and fresh, but the "mouth feel" was different, they chewed too easy, there was no chewy, gummy texture to them...I don't know if anyone else has had this experience, but this will make me hesitant to buy he big bag in the future...it's a shame because this is a really excellent deal...

I love swedish fish but I do not think these taste like swedish assorted fish. They do not have a good taste and I think they suck. I threw them away and was out 18 bucks. Do not recommend.
