I've bought a number of 'rubber' mats recently, and many have been harder and more plastic-like than expected. This one is a typical rubber feel.Edges do curl quite a bit. Weighted them down for a day, which helped a lot, but it still doesn't lay completely flat. Maybe weighting it down longer would resolve it.

Ordered the 2x4 I was super excited to get this but unfortunately it does not lay flat. I have tried it in the sun and weight. It wants to curl on all 4 ends. I do not recommend this product.
