5.0 out of 5 stars Holds well and is easy to set up.
So far this mount has done really well. I am using it to mount on my car to capture video. The suction holds really well, and it is nice to have 3 cups just in case one fails. Just know, if you don't get all 3 cups mounted securely that the camera footage will get bounce. So far I have only mounted this on glass, but I don't see why it won't work on body panels as long as they are clean.I have taken it to about 60 mile per hour without any issue, but have yet to test it above that speed. I don't see why it won't hold above that speed. I have gone over speed bumps with it mounted to my rear quarter glass and it hasn't budged. I have also mounted it on my sunroof, and inside on the windshield upside down. It has held well.It comes with the basic GoPro mount, so make sure you have something compatible. I am using a Garmin Virb Elite that came with a Go Pro style mount that I can use, and it works. Other wise you can probably rig something up since it just screws down on the mount. The ball portion has pretty good range as long as you set the mount at the correct angle to access the notch on the side to face it at 90 degrees. The ball tightens down pretty well and haven't had any issues as of yet.Overall, so far, I am very happy with this mount. It does exactly what I need it to do without any issues. I will try to remember to update this review if I use it at a faster speed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for gopro
Picked this up for sticking gopro on the windshield and it has been awesome.
4.0 out of 5 stars I would trust this with my my most expensive camera.
Suction is really great, if you made the unfortunate mistake of not making sure one of them doesnt sit tight, you have still have 2 to keep your gopro safe. The build quality feels cheap, but it has to, to lower the cost. Though, i would trust it at wind speeds of up to 200/kmh.Bang for buck is really high.
5.0 out of 5 stars This is the best I've tried
Fantaseal Triple Cup DSLR Camera Suction Mount w/Ball Head for Nikon Canon Sony DSLR /Camcorder + GoPro Hero 5 /4/3 Sony Garmin TomTom Xiaomi Yi SJCAM Suction Cup Mount Car Mount Holder Window MountThe Fantaseal Triple Cup DSLR camera suction mount is magic. This is the best I've tried, and for the price, the best I have owned. What I noticed initially out of the packaging was a quality product. The articulating legs were well build, but most importantly, the suction mechanism worked flawlessly on all surfaces tested (flat surfaces with no undulations). They worked so well, in fact, that they were a challenge to take off if it were not for the small rubber tabs to pull to remove the suction mount.I used this with both the GoPro and Fly360 camera, in a moving car environment, and not once felt that I was in danger of losing my camera. After all, for this price point, you don't want to lose a $400 camera, but I never felt there was an issue. Of the Suction mounts I have purchased, this one is by far the best.
1.0 out of 5 stars UNRELIABLE.....DOES NOT HOLD
As others have said, the suction cups don't hold. I mounted this to the hood of my car with a clean wax free surface, and within a few minutes 2 of the cups came loose. I even tried moistening the surface but that worked a little and a slow drive around the block 1 cup already let go. I even wrapped the strap of my DSLR around my wiper-arm since I didn't trust it.........EXTREMELY MAD, SINCE I NEEDED TO USE THIS ASAP. i should've bought the magnetic mount.
3.0 out of 5 stars Good product BUT IMPORTANT FIX
Great product, I’ve used it to film lots of in-car & out. Only issue is the adjustment knobs break off the bolt after a few uses which render the suction cups unusable once the bolt slides out.Make sure you check those knobs after every use just in case. (I’ve bought 3 because of this issue 🥴🥴) trying to think about how to fix this???
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent tool for mounting lighter DSLRs and Action Cams
This thing sucks... literally. The suction cups suck up to a surface with great force. I mounted it on a window in the house and could literally lift the window out of it's tracks. The main body/arms/frame are made of plastic that seems quite strong. I'm using this to mount an action camera in strange places so it's kinda overkill, but I would not hesitate to put my T5i on it, on the hood of the car and drive around. You can remove one suction cup and use the typical action camera (goPro like) mount to put a camera just about anywhere it can suction to. I'm thinking about getting a second one and use them side-by-side on a car with a bit of metal bar between them to create a really solid, vibration free camera or light mount.
2.0 out of 5 stars Canon T3i
Works good with Go Pro but not so well with DSLR type cameras. Too much weight. Used multiple times, different temps outside, different cameras.By daily camera would be a t3i Rebel (Canon) decently lighter compared to most other DSLRs that do video. When mounted to my rear windshield glass on inside of the car, mounted up fine with good suction to all mounts yet after a while 1 out of 3 of the cups would come off suction. Lighter cameras definitely help the case but the heavier cameras will make it happen more often. With this being so, I have not taken the risk to run the DSLR cameras on the outside of the car for fear of breaking the camera or damaging the car. Bought it for mainly that purpose so a little disappointed. Overall OK as it works sometimes.
