5.0 out of 5 stars Works great.
Works fine of your looking for a cheap and easy way to compress your caliper pistons
5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and did the job well.
2016 Honda civic rear caliper needed to be screwed in clockwise using two pins spread about 1 inch apart. I don’t have a tool that could do this without causing damage. Bought this thing and it did it perfectly. That’s what I wanted and paid for. Now I have this for future, but even if list I’m still happy with work already done.
4.0 out of 5 stars A nice set for DIY brake enthusiast
The set arrived and seems very comprehensive with a multitude of adapter plates to fit a variety of vehicles. Will it fit everything out there - probably not. But as the description itself even says, there is a good chance you'll find an adapter for most American, Japanese or European models. While Mazda wasn't explicitly listed anywhere in the manual, a quick review of the adapter plates identified a match for the calipers I was working with.Usage instructions are a bit vague. Video from the product page was quite a bit more helpful in assembling/using this tool than the paper manual that was included. Not saying the manual wasn't entirely accurate, but it left a bit to the imagination on a couple of the steps. Once you know how it all goes together and works, the tool itself is quite helpful and easy to use.One complaint would be the relatively thin T-handle used to twist the caliper piston back into place. Due to the size and material, this handle can easily bend if you need to put a lot of torque into moving the piston. Would be nicer to have a beefier handle that could hold up better.Plastic case is also on the thin side with a "cheap" feel to it. Just based on feel, it doesn't seem as though it will last terribly long if this is a tool that gets frequent use. For rare to occasional use, it will probably be fine. It is rather nice that there is a labeled place for everything to fit. If the case holds up, it will be great from an organizational standpoint.Overall, the tool worked well, and is likely something I won't use often, but will be nice to have if/when I do. For the price, it saves a lot of aggravation trying to make another tool work with some of these caliper designs the require the piston to be twisted rather than just compressed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for shade tree mechanics
Wish I had this years ago. A variety of adapters for different vehicles. Did a 16 pilot and 17 wrangler. Tool is cast but feels solid. You'd have to crank on it ridiculously hard to brake it. Love the caliper hangers. Great little affordable kit.
5.0 out of 5 stars They aren’t Snap-On or Matco but they work well!
Ive used these quite a few times and they work well. Not professional grade by any means but they wont fail you if you take care of them
5.0 out of 5 stars used it on my 2015 mazda 3 rear calipers
perfect. got the job done, saved money
5.0 out of 5 stars 2015 Ford Escape AWD Titanium
Easy to use. Tool is required for use on rear brake calipers. Only had to apply a couple of foot pounds of torque to the handle to move caliper. Used adapter labeled "M" and RH turn. Tool is certainly constructed well enough to do the job. Quality is better than expected for the price. Local dealer quoted over $300 in labor so I came out way ahead.
Good tool
Very good tool for the price, use it on all of my car including bmw and Mercedes works perfectly
