5.0 out of 5 stars Great buy!
The quality is actually amazing considering the price. They work just fine.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good Palette Knife Set
These inexpensive palette knives are good quality and work well for my purposes. I use the smallest knife for evenly spreading wood glue on furniture parts and for applying wood filler in screw holes with good control.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great set
Using them for some art projects. Excellent for the price.
4.0 out of 5 stars decent set
I've only recently start using palette knives so my opinion may be entirely valid. However, for a beginner such as myself, these are great. The handles seem small to my oversized paws (yeah, I'm tall, large and uncoordinated) but I've no problems using them. I certainly would recommend both seller and the knives. Easy to use and easier to clean...a simple wipe and you're good to go. I will probably wrap the handles to accommodate my xl meathooks.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect set of palette knives
I'm just starting to learn to paint on canvas. I wanted palette knives that had some flexibility but not too much. These seem perfect. The largest one mixes my paints well.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect set
This set has every shape for exactly what I need. I use this for a few different purposes and they are lasting and easy to clean. Definitely would buy again if needed
5.0 out of 5 stars 3D Printers: One of the best toolkits for getting prints off of smooth glass/PEI beds!
I've introduced these to 3D printing friends as the go-to solution for getting 3D prints off of beds that have rigid glass or aluminum PEI surfaces. What most 3D printing folks often don't get is that most of what sticks the print to the bed is static adhesion and an air-tight vacuum between the bed-surface and the print (if you're doing it right... ;-) ) And chopping at the edge of the print with a paint-scraper or flat-razor is both over-kill and dangerous to you -and- the print. These palette knives let you "ease" under the edges/corners of a print, making just enough gap to let a bit of air in and pop that static grab. On small foot-print 3D prints, often just getting a corner to lift a little, using the blunt "spoon shaped" blade, is enough to get it to hop right off the bed. For larger foot-print situations, starting on a corner with the spoon-shaped blade and then sliding one of the triangle-point blades >under< the spoon blade can then let you ease the gap around the edge of the print until you feel the pressure release.WARNING:1) On very wide prints and especially on glass beds (and triple-so if printing with PETG or TPU), this tool/technique can lead to either the breaking of the glass, or small slivers of glass coming away on the print bottom. I've ONLY experienced this on glass beds that have previously suffered minor hotend head-crashes, or leveling-error "drags" which I think may have pre-damaged the bed and then the cracking/slivering is an after-effect. But worth noting!2) For really wide/flat-bottomed prints, it's best to "go easy" and use backup. Having extra palette knives comes in handy for this... Start with one corner using the above technique. Once the corner has one triangle-point "shim" in place, insert another triangle-point shim on the opposite side of the spoon-knife. Then remove the spoon-knife and repeat on an adjacent corner of the print. Usually, the print will release during the shimming of the second corner. If it's still not releasing, try dabbing a little isopropyl-alcohol along the bed/print line and you can also try using compressed air to send hard-puffs under the gapping corners of the print.3) While these are not "cutting blade" sharp, they're still quite stiff and sharp-edged. BE SURE to observe safe "bloodline" precautions when using these: Always push the blade AWAY from yourself and your other hand, never push it towards a direction that another person could be in the path of, never hard-jam or pound the blade into the material. They can be honed to a blade edge, but I wouldn't recommend it for obvious safety reasons.
