5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommend!
I have a 14 year old hound with very sensitive joints, she used to have a really hard time with stairs and would yelp if you didn't pick her up carefully enough.During our yearly checkup at a new vet, her vet recommended cosequin to help keep her joints from getting any worse. Not only did it slow the degradation of her joint health, it regressed it! She runs and jumps almost like a puppy can and even jumps up with excitement for her daily morning dose. She loves getting them every morning and they have improved her quality of life so much, if I didn't know any better I'd think they made my old girl younger! They are soft chews that are about the size of a quarter and don't have any pungent odor and look just like a normal training treat. They've changed my girl's life over the span of about 6 months or so and I'll be sure to use them for my other dog who's slowly starting to age as well. They're a little pricey but so worth it for the benefits. The packaging is really simple with a tear tab at the top that comes off in a smooth straight line and doesn't rip unevenly and ruin the bag like alot of packaging and the bag is resealable. So even the bag itself is high quality!10/10 recommend cosequin to anyone considering it. It is absolutely worth it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Not a youngster anymore, but incredibly mobile!
I have a rescued 45 lb. mix-breed. I'm not sure of her age, as she was an adult with a litter and in very bad physical shape when brought in. Best guess is 12-13. She's had a number of injuries including broken bones. The first time my vet mentioned this product, I gave it to her prophylactically, and she seemed lethargic and slower, so I stopped it. A couple of years later, she started having difficulty getting in and out of the car, so I re-started. She has been on it for over a year and is amazingly agile. She has not regained much playfulness or interest in chasing squirrels or chipmunks, and prefers wandering around, sniffing stuff in the woods. We go on a daily hour-long leash walk so I can get my exercise. She is able to get on the bed or sofa without missing a beat. Her skin is better, too. I think she probably had a yeast problem, which is now gone, by the lack of strong doggy odor. (I can't say. for sure it has anything to do with Cosequin.). She can climb up and down a steep river bank with no problem. She likes the taste. I've seen no quality problems. She gets one per day, so each bag lasts 2 months. I have them on subscription purchase with Bolo, one month ahead so I won't run out. I'm also very happy with the price compared to similar products, mostly hard pills, that I've purchased via prescription. One more thing: seeing my dog's improvement in agility and pain , I've recently started taking a similar product made for humans, which I hope will reduce my back pain.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very Happy Puppy!
These supplements worked amazing. My 6 year old Golden retriever would limp after a hard play and I’d have to keep her from playing ball (her favorite thing) for days after. I heard about these supplements and started giving them to her daily and she hasn’t had a problem since! She gobbles them like it’s a treat and now she’s mobile and happy and never misses a time to play !
5.0 out of 5 stars Smell isn’t great but they really help
I previously bought milkbone breakfast vitamin soft bones to give my dog and when they stopped making them this year I bought these. I knew my vet likes cosequin too. Took a few days for my dog to eat them without hiding them in his food, the smell is quite strong. But now he eats them just like he ate the other ones. He is 15 pounds so instead of giving him 1 whole every other day I have him 1/2 daily. My vet said this was fine to do. My shih tzu is 13 and will not go up and down the stairs to the second story of our house anymore. But he will still take the 3 steps to go outside and we bought dog foam steps also from Bolo for him to use for furniture. He is doing great and I think the milk bone vitamins and these have played a big factor in that.
4.0 out of 5 stars Loved the taste
My older girl loves the flavor of these. Definitely recommend these
5.0 out of 5 stars Abigail approved
Give them to this princess Abby every night and she loves the taste. Gets her up and down hikes every week. Tried other brands and Abby won’t even hardly sniff them let alone eat them. She eats these as if they were a 100% sugar treat
5.0 out of 5 stars COSEQUIN Joint Health Supplement (60 Count) Maximum Strength with MSM Plus Omega-3's
I have a 14-year-old Weimaraner who unfortunately is having neurological problems, but I have no doubt these Cosequin chews improved his quality of life for at least half a dozen years. I initially started giving him this joint supplement when he was around 8 and I became concerned about his mobility. He was slipping and sliding around a lot and even falling down every once in a while. My vet recommended this product and so I immediately went and found this maximum strength bag even though it was a little pricier and had less chews than the bottle of Cosequin DS.And thank God for these chews too, as I know without question they have prolonged my old guy's years on this earth. He's now on an anti-inflammatory but my vet told me to continue giving him his Cosequin and he's a stubborn old man and trying to hang on. He's never given me any trouble taking these and actually loves them, although for "Soft Chews" they are NOT very soft. However, he did run out of these ones once so I had to buy the Cosqequin DS (they were not as good) and compared to those which are a totally different color and texture, I can see why these are considered soft.I have actually gotten a few of these bags that were close to the expiration date, and in that case the chews felt harder and looked more dried out than that of a fresh bag but they still worked fine. I do remember when we first started giving these to him that it was maybe a couple of weeks later when my family and I noticed a marked improvement. It honestly shocked us all and I was so grateful to have found these. They are literally a life-saver and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them (and have) to anybody who has a senior dog who is having difficulty getting around.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works Well
I’ve been giving my dog 3 of these a day(she is 61 lbs). She has a bad knee but loves to run. She used to limp when she was done running and playing around. She doesn’t do that anymore. Great purchase plus my dog waits patiently every morning to get her treats.
