5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality and looks great too
We are very happy with this purchase. The product is well-made and sturdy. The mirror’s magnification strength on the one side is plenty strong. The light is more of a bright white. I do wish the product had more than one light setting, for instance warm lighting too.Installation was pretty straightforward.Movement of extension arm is a little stiff but I think it will smooth out after use.Again, we are very happy with the quality of the materials and craftsmanship
5.0 out of 5 stars Very good quality and value
The quality of the mirror is great for the price. Solid hinges, nice oil rubbed bronze color (a flat/matte look which I like), great magnification and the LED lighting is good and allows for a thin light/mirror component. The unit comes with a cord to plug in to an outlet but I took off the back and cut that out so I could hard wire it in as other reviewers had mentioned. It was easy and the end result looks great. Two notes, the folding arms extend to about the edge of a standard width bathroom counter top and the on/off switch is not dimmable which is no big deal in actual use.
5.0 out of 5 stars Nice design
Fits well in color design for our new master bathroom
4.0 out of 5 stars It’s a Reasonable Product - I’m Happy With It
SUMMARY+Brushed Nickel finish is nice and compatible with other brushed nickel components.+Light is even and bright.+Feels like it’s built reasonably well for the price.+Maneuvering the mirror/arm is smooth.-The design allows some flex/give between the mounting plate and light fixture base.-Minor amount of play in the hinge of the arm connected to the base.-Doesn’t Fold entirely flush to the wall.-Hinges/joints are a little stiff (expect two handed operation).PACKAGINGGood amount of styrofoam protecting the product - I have no concerns of damage during shipment.INSTALLATIONPretty straight forward... there’s a thin mounting plate (see install picture) that secures to the wall/electrical box with a horizontal bolt pattern. The light fixture is then installed onto the mounting plate via two bolts that thread through the fixture base and then two thumb nuts secure the fixture onto the mounting plate.Notables:-You have to mount the fixture to the mounting plate so that the bolts are vertically orientated because of the orientation of the hinge (I’m not sure if you can adjust this). You have to screw the mounting plate into the wall/electrical box with bolts at 9 and 3 o’clock. -Most electrical boxes have mounting holes at 12 and 6 vs 9 and 3 o’clock. -Hollow wall nuts and bolts are included to secure the mounting plate into the wall. * I used a round ceiling fixture box that clamps the electrical box inside a hollow wall and then also screwed it into a wall stud. Going this route, I was able to use different screws to install the mounting bracket directly to the electrical box.-As someone else has mentioned, not using the hollow wall nuts or mounting to an electrical box that isn’t also attached to a stud, may be an issue.OPERATIONMoving the mirror around feels good. It doesn’t feel like it’s a bullet-proof-fluid-filled-articulating arm but it does feel pretty secure within reason. You’re more than likely to use two hands to get the mirror exactly where you want it because of the multiple joints and a slight stiffness in them. The light is turned on via knob on the light fixture base. I almost would rather have a button or switch so you could be even less precise and slightly speedier toggling on/off, but not a deal breaker and it can be more challenging to make a switch or button look “elegant”. Folding the mirror after use, naturally involves a few bumps between the wall and the hinges/mirror frame - just something to be aware of. The unit doesn’t fold entirely flush with the wall but comes close, again, not a deal breaker for me but would look a little better if it did. I find the light to be sufficient in brightness and temperature. The mirrors are clean and clear.PERSONAL THOUGHTSI’m happy with the purchase! The light fixture looks good, feels good, and is simple to use. If there was such a product, I would shell out a little more money for something that has more solid and fluid movement, but I imagine that product would have the cost of a medical device. I’ve only had the light installed for a week so durability is still in question. I’d recommend this product as I believe most people would be pretty happy with this.
3.0 out of 5 stars mirror is only 7.5" from inside frame to inside frame
picture in the listing shows the mirror to be 8."5" inside the housing. the mirror received is only 7.5" from inside of the housing. The actual mirror portion is only 6.25" (inside the light ring).the light portion is not as bright as I expected either.overall disappointed in the mirror.... not quite enough to send back.just keep in mind it is notably smaller than advertised
5.0 out of 5 stars My wife loves it!
Fairly easy and straight forward install. I ran electrical from nearby socket and installed the base. The screw on the right is directly on a stud. I used a toggle bolt to mount the left side of the mount. It comes with mounting hardware, but I chose to use what I know works well for me.Very practical and I actually find myself using it now.Like other reviewers we spotted this brand in our timeshare in Vegas and wanted one for ourselves.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality, worth the price!
Been wanting to install one of these for my wife for some time. I didn't want to buy one of the cheap quality Bolo ones. I wanted something that would hold up over time. These are the same mirrors installed in hotels so their made to last.Installation is a breeze as long as you have a cordless drill and the proper size drill bits (a level helps if you have one). They provide some really good wall mounts but you have to know how to use them (once the mount is in the wall you have to tighten down on it for a bit until the metal on the inside of the wall flexes to grab the inside of the drywall). Look it up on YouTube if you're unsureMake sure you have whoever is going to be using the mirror present to get an good idea as to how high to mount the mirror. Other than that my wife couldn't be happier. Definitely worth the money for the quality. Will update if it breaks or has premature issues.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great coverage
I used one of these at a hotel and loved the ease of how it worked. The light benefits these aging eyes, and the magnification makes it easy to see what you are working on.
