Love the Stella D'oro Swiss Fudge cookies. Local supermarkets no longer seem to carry them, so I went with Bolo (via the seller Circle of Drink). I finished off the 6-pack, so now I did the 16-pack ... about $6 per package. They're a bit pricey, but well worth it. I experimented with the 6-pack by freezing some of them, and when that turned out just fine, I went with the 16-pack.

So they are dry and the fudge part is a little tough. However, this goes great with tea and coffee. Shouldn't be eaten alone without some sort of liquid. I didn't like it with milk.

I grew up eating Stella D’oro cookies. Now, I can only really get them through Bolo or unless I make a special trip to the state where I grew up. These cookies are delicious and I do recommend trying them. However, the reason for 1 star taken off is because I ordered two packs and one of the packs was pretty broken. I was able to salvage what I could but it was disappointing. Also, sometimes these cookies are priced so high it’s laughable. Sometimes I see them for $11 for one pack of cookies? I bought these at about $4 or $5 a pack and that’s the most i will pay for one pack.

But in the order of a ten pack of assorted of Stella D’oro cookies, the pkg of Breakfast Treats was dated two months later than those I buy from the grocery store. But they didn’t taste fresher, they had very little taste of my favorite breakfast treats, at all. Plus they were burned on the bottom, unlike I’d ever seen. So I see (the writing on the wall) and that the flavor of these treats is going away, the same as everything else has! 😱 I stocked up on them, but I’m afraid of that day coming when there won’t be anything left from my childhood that has the same flavor. These have always taken me back to my childhood. To innocence. It’s a heartbreaking thought. 💔

I'm glad I was able to find these since all the supermarkets where I live in Florida stopped carrying them. the price was reasonable also.

It is kind of what I was looking for. I wanted a not too sweet, hard, dunking cookie to go with my coffee or tea. Sometimes I just want SOMETHING to go with a hot drink, but I don't want it to be full on dessert sweet. I often go with biscotti, but I wanted to try something different- harder, less sweet. I always see Stella D'oro offerings in store but decided to buy a package here.They are solid (hard, crunchy), slightly sweet, vaguely flavored (vanilla, chocolate, and.. ?) , various shapes- all kinda perfect for their intended purpose-- to dunk in coffee, tea, or hot cocoa.Gotta say, while these should be perfect for me, I am underwhelmed. And I knew what to expect going in! I just think I expected something more special. No one I offered them to cared for them either. I wonder if the recipe changed??So rave reviews are because it is what they are looking for in a hot drink dunking cookie, and negative reviews seem to be because they expected a dessert cookie. I am in the middle because I don't think this is a great combo of flavors for MY desires. They really are bland with a touch of sweet. Since it is a mix, some are better than others. Yet,For some reason, I was expecting a more unique flavor profile (even if still bland!) other than vague vanilla and slightly off chocolate. Again, I don't need a lot of flavor, I don't need a lot of sweet, I don't need them to be soft as the entire plan is to dunk them in a hot drink.. so I want them extra hard.. but these are blah. I eventually got through the whole pack, but I didn't adore them. I'll try some other options and hopefully come up with something better.Maybe how I described them will help you decide. It might be exactly what you are looking for or exactly what you want to stay away from.
